RESOLUTION NO. 156-2020

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FUND REALIGNMENT OF TWENTY

THOUSAND PESOS (P20, 000) FROM THE SANGGUNIANG BAYAN OFFICE –
MAINTENANCE AND OTHER OPERATING EXPENSES (MOOE) MEMBERSHIP
DUES AND CONTRIBUTION TO ORGANIZATION – SB LEAGUE IN ORDER TO
BE MADE AVAILABLE TO AUGMENT THE REPRESENTATION EXPENSES
WITHIN THE SAME OFFICE TO COVER THE MEAL EXPENSES DURING
COMMITTEE MEETINGS, PUBLIC HEARINGS AND OTHER LEGISLATIVE
ACTIVITIES

WHEREAS, Section 336 of Republic Act 7160, otherwise known as the Local
Government Code provides, that the Local Chief Executive or the Presiding Officer of
the Sanggunian may be authorized to augment any item in the approved annual budget
for their respective offices within the same expense class;

WHEREAS, at present, allocations for representation expenses is insufficient if

not exhausted to cover the obligations and expenses needed to pay for the meals and
snacks for the committee meetings and public hearings instigated by the Office of the
Sangguniang Bayan for the fourth quarter of FY 2020;

WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Bayan has exhausted the budget allocation for
representation on the first and up to the third quarters of this year but acquired savings
from Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses (MOOE) Membership Dues and
Contribution to Organization – SB League;

WHEREAS, such augmentation will be made useful and relevant as it is

necessary for the fulfilment of the basic function of the Sangguniang Bayan so that it
must be amended and appropriated to the stated purpose, as follows:

WHEREAS, that the Municipal Budget Office had certified that as per book of
accounts of the Local Government Unit of Plaridel–Legislative Department, the item
stated was found out to be free and available as source for augmentation;

WHEREAS, this Body finds merit in the request;

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of SB Member Prince Kien M. Bandiala, duly

seconded by SB Member Algelyn B. Paradiang, SB Member Lucita M. Aviles and SB
Member Allan B. Laput, the Sangguniang Bayan Members –

RESOLVED, as it hereby RESOLVES, to AUTHORIZE THE FUND

REALIGNMENT OF TWENTY THOUSAND PESOS (P20, 000) FROM THE
SANGGUNIANG BAYAN OFFICE – MAINTENANCE AND OTHER OPERATING
EXPENSES (MOOE) MEMBERSHIP DUES AND CONTRIBUTION TO
ORGANIZATION – SB LEAGUE IN ORDER TO BE MADE AVAILABLE TO
AUGMENT THE REPRESENTATION EXPENSES WITHIN THE SAME OFFICE TO
COVER THE MEAL EXPENSES DURING COMMITTEE MEETINGS, PUBLIC
HEARINGS AND OTHER LEGISLATIVE ACTIVITIES;

RESOLVED FINALLY, that a copy of this resolution be furnished to the

Municipal Budget Officer, and all concerned offices for their information and guidance.

UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED by the 29th Sangguniang Bayan of Plaridel on its

36th Regular Session for CY 2020 held on November 6, 2020.
