In our Gospel today, we can see a different Jesus.

A different image of Jesus not the Jesus

that is usually depicted to us.
milagro, kag nagapaayo. We are accustomed to Jesus who travels and goes to people. We
always remember a Jesus who always prays. Nagamon kita sa Hesus nga pakat. But in our
gospel today Jesus is just sleeping!

Ang iya pagkatulog, indi man gid unusual, after all, tawo man siya gihapon.
magtulog. Gane maintindihan naton ang iya mga alagad. Ara sila sa katalagman, malumos
na sila. They are in danger. But Jesus the savior, Jesus who does miracles, is asleep on a
cushion.

Pero ngaman? Paano?

My dear brothers and sisters, there can be a lot of tragedies in our lives. There are many
things that can affect us. There are misunderstandings in the family, sa mag asawa, sa
ginikanan kag puya, sa mag utod, o bisan sa pag amiguhay o amigahay. Our illnesses. our
livelihood.
aton. We all have opportunities to get worried, frustrated, and offended.

Jesus did not promise that there will be no problem in our lives.
pwede man naton gihapon pakalmahon ang aton buot. We don't have to allow what's on
the outside to get on the inside.

Hay Father, gina storyahan nila ko, ginalibak nila ko perme. Father, damo damo gid akon
balayran. Father, wala sang
may nakaka appreciate sakon, nagaluya na ako. Again, look at Jesus. Let us not be
controlled by the outside things, because the moment we let them control us, dira na
maumpisa ang aton man pag lubog. Dira na maupisa nga ma perde kita.

Be still. Kag sa aton nga pagkalma, ginapakita naton nga mas mabaskog kita sa aton gina
agyan.
Nagapabulig kita. And that is what we call maturity in
faith! Maybe the battles we face are really hard, but in our calmness, we let God face them
and fight for us.
Sang nabugtaw na si Hesus gin pamangkot niya siila, “why are you terrified? Do you not yet
have faith? Today Jesus is also asking us, ngaman nahadlok ikaw? Wala ka bala sing pagtuo
sa akon?

You know my dear brothers and sisters, faith is trusting that Jesus is always with us. Faith
is trusting that everything will be OK, even though we think that Jesus is sleeping. Hambal
gane ni Pastor Rick Warren sa iya podcast, “faith does not take away the problems. Faith
often takes us through the problems. Faith does not remove the pain. Faith gives us the
ability to handle the pain. Faith does not take away the storm, faith calms us in the midst of
the storms.

Being at peace does not mean that there will be no more trouble. There can be trouble,
conflict, and challenges all around you on the outside. But real peace is not allowing it on
the inside.

multiple cancers, “You can’t wait until life isn’t hard anymore before you decide to be
happy.”
We cannot always control our problems. We cannot always
control what other people say about us. But we have control over ourselves. We have
control over our reactions. Life is 10% what happens to us and 90% how you respond. Kun
In His
ways. In His time. Be calm. Not because we are strong by ourselves. But because we have a
God who is more powerful than our fears. Everything will be fine because I know who holds
my future.

The storms of life come to every person, the challenge for us today: don't let the storm get
you hold off your peace. Everything will be fine. Let us pray for the gift of faith. May we
have strong faith in Jesus so that we can also afford to sleep even in the midst of a storm.
Amen.
