Title: ROAD USER`S PERCEPTION ON THE TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT IN

THE MUNICIPALITY OF SAN LUIS

This research aimed to determine the road user`s perception on the

traffic management in the Municipality of San Luis. Descriptive research design

in a quantitative approach was employed in this research. The researchers are

given a quota of subjects of a specified type to attempt to recruit. The

researchers derived from a specific number of respondents. The 100 selected

road users selected in the said municipality are the respondents of the entire

study. Survey questionnaire was used as the major data gathering instrument.

It was subjected to Cronbachs’s Alpha and resulted to .877 which means that

the instrument is reliable and valid. Such statistical tool used was frequency

and percentage, weighted mean, independent t-test and one way analysis of

variance. Majority of the respondents are in the age bracket of below 24; male;

type of road user is motorcyclist. Freeway management, active traffic

management, integrated corridor management and freight management was

agreed by the respondents according to their assessment that these variables

are being practiced by the road users in the municipality.

It was found out in the respondents’ assessment that age and sex was not

significant to all variables. However, type of road user, was significant only in

term of leadership. And the rest variables such as active traffic management,

integrated corridor and freight management was found not significant. The

researchers proposed a plan of action based on the result of the study which

consist of the areas concern, findings, objective/s, person involved and

expected outcomes which may improve the traffic management system in the

Municipality of San Luis.
