Parents/guardian and learners

are having a hard time in
adjusting modular distance
modality that is why it is one of
the duties and responsibilities of
the teacher to approach and think
of a better way to provide quality
education amidst this pandemic.

In the end of every quarter,

performance task is also implemented
in order to test the set of skill that is
acquired by the learners in the lessons.
This mode of
verifications justify
that learning is not
limited in the four walls
of classroom and it can
be everywhere anytime.
The LDM 2 course for teacher open lots of doors for me as a teacher in a way that I was
able to grasp the different learning modality and on what terms it is advantageous or
disadvantageous.
Amidst todays pandemic, we as a teacher, are working hand in hand with different
agencies and stockholders to ensure that learning must continue. As a teacher, I believe that
narrowing down the learning competencies has become a huge factor in order to deliver only the
most essential learning competencies.
However, because this is the first time that we experience lockdowns/quarantines and
our resources are limited, the department and the teachers are having a hard time implementing
this modality to the field not only because it is the first time but also because of different factors
like the topographical location of school or the distance of the learners itself and the ratio of
learners per teacher and more. Imagine having 50 students and given the AWA of teachers they
have to home visit all those 50 in a given time while doing paperwork's, checking their outputs,
sorting and printing modules/wlas etc.,.
What we need is to focus on how to produce quality learners by supporting learner’s
needs and also time management by the teacher. With this course, I become more knowledgeable
by different modalities and is able to comprehend which is more suitable to implement in
different situations. I am both glad but at the same time sorry to myself, glad because I was able
to learn new sets of knowledge that I could apply in my field and sorry because without this
pandemic I will not realize that learning is really not limited in the four walls of our classroom
and there are different ways to impart knowledge to your learners.

MOVs on engaging learners for their
progress and achievement

One of the ways to monitor my learners’ progress is conducting home visitation and updating them through our GC. I’ll
give feedback and recommendations to the parents regarding with their academic performance through chat ,text, call
or by the time they are at school returning/retrieving the modules/wlas. And to those parents not able to reached, I am
informing them to go to school for further clarification and explanation about the status of their children. I am also
informing the parents about their performance task /activities.
MOVs on professional engagement with
colleagues

Because of the pandemic, we are doing virtual meetings/conferences in order to address different problems
and to come up with a solution that would best interest of the learners. Though there are some lapses like the
internet connection but we are still able to support each other virtually.
MOVs on professional engagement with
colleagues

Amidst the pandemic we are still able to grow emotionally and intellectually by attending different
meetings/conferences/LAC sessions/INSET etc.,. We must accept the fact that learning is a dynamic process in
which we should not only stick to the traditional way of teaching.
MOVs on engaging key stakeholders in
the teaching learning process

These screenshots are some sample of a parent-teacher communication. Although our area is not blessed with
cellular phone signal/has a weak signal, but I am still grateful that the parents are responding to my messages
and are eager to know more about their child's performance or is willing to approach me if they have queries.

takes courage and
determination to find it
and own it. Remember,
