A Concept Paper on
PROJECT IDEA ( Introduction, Development, Engagement, and Assimilation) : the creation and
use of Lesson Exemplars to address quality, adequacy, efficiency of contextualized learning
resources in Cookery

INTRODUCTION A teacher's "roadmap" for a lesson is called a Lesson Plan


Exemplar. It includes a step-by-step breakdown of how a teacher
will go about delivering a specific lesson. Included in this document
are the following elements: a mission statement; objectives;
content; learning resources; procedures; observations and
reflections. Teachers can use district planning guidelines as
examples of how to create excellent lessons based on exemplar
lessons. Exemplar lessons were developed for quick classroom
deployment, so teachers can utilize the lessons as is or change
them to match their students' specific requirements, as well. It is a
library-specific systematic strategy to integrating information
literacy instruction and resources into academic courses that uses
the IDEA (interview, design, embed, assess) Model. It is based on
instructional design best practices and cognitive and behavioral
theories of learning. The use of lesson exemplars has been
efficient and beneficial especially to certain regions even during
pandemic as it is modified to be suitably used in either MDL
( Modular Distance Learning ) or ODL ( Online Distance Learning).
The structure of the a lesson exemplar is unquestionably
comprehensive. Additionally, it contains the essential elements in
the delivery of lessons in new normal, that is IDEA which stands
for Introduction, Development, Engagement and Assimilation. With
this structure of delivering lessons, indeed the students will
achieve the Most Essential Learning Competencies develop
Knowledge, Skills , Attitudes and Values. Thus, will contribute to
school governance quality report, reflect on teachers performance,
solve the learning gaps and lack in learning resources, and shall
provide foundation and bases for further study and curriculum
development.
Project IDEA is thought about by the proponent as a means
to address the academic perfromance of students specifically in
Cookery class during new normal as evidenced by their summative
test or mAstery level in a given competency, address the existing
problem with the poor level of adequacy and efficiency when it
comes to learning materials especially in the subject Cookery.
Through this project IDEA, the propoennts shall create the lesson
exemplars and use it a sthey deliver their lesson beginning 2 nd
quarter until 4th quarter of the School Year (SY).

Project’s Main Objectives:


1.To be able to improve the quality of students' academic
success as shown by the to-be-improved MPS or Mastery
Level, which is aimed at a minimum of 90%.
2.To improve the sufficiency of instructional exemplars and
contextualized modules created in accordance with Project
IDEA principles, as indicated by a considerable change in
the list of exemplars and modules before and after the
innovation.
3.To improve the efficiency of lesson exemplars and
contextualized modules in TLE-Cooking by 90% in terms of
teacher performance and output conformity.
