By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:-
OBJECTIVE 1. Match the words or phrases in the passage with their meanings.
2. Give opinion about the story pertaining the ending of the story.
3. Draw a head of a scarecrow.
1. Teacher shows picture and asks them to name the object in the pictures. (scarecrow)
2. Teacher and pupils read the story together.
3. Pupils read the story and teacher corrects pronunciation.
4. Teacher asks questions and pupils answer them correctly.
5. Pupils read the the words in bold correctly.
6. Pupils locate the meaning and write them on their exercise book.
ACTIVITIES 7. Pupils complete the exercise and then discuss the answer with the teacher.
8. In groups, pupils write the ending of the story and draw the new scarecrow’s head.
9. Pupils present their answers.
