5.1 Worker falls from the sky lift bucket 5.1.1 Make sure the sky lift bucket is equipped with proper
guardrails.
5.1.2 Make sure workers are wearing safety harness and hook at
anchorage point.
5.1.3 Check the control devices: -
 Is overload warning device operational and tested?
 Is load indicator operational and tested
 Is boom angle indicator operational and tested
 Is hook’s safety catch in order?
Is the emergency STOP button being functional
5.2 Equipment may fall from bucket sky lift 5.2.1 No worker allowed to work under the sky lift when work at
height is in progress.
5.2.2 Properly isolate and barricade the working area and do not
anybody is standing or working at the same area
5.3 Asset Damage while lifting using crane. 5.3.1
Make sure the work load not exceed the SWL (Standard
Work Load).
5.3.2 Make sure work area clear from obstruction.
5.3.4 Check the documents before start work: -
 Is load chart fitted in cab
 Is boom in good condition
 Is PMA number marked clearly on skylift.
 Is PMA certificate copy in cab
 Is operating manual available at site office
 Is Maintenance record available and up to date
 Is the hoisting bucket in good condition and
maintain?
