Division, Consulting Services Department, Saudi Aramco, Dhahran.

Branch Circuit: The circuit conductors between the final overcurrent protective
device and the utilization equipment.

Compression connectors: Connectors that are compressed onto the conductor using

Specification: The main body (i.e., Sections 1 to 17) and applicable Supplement and
does not, for example, include the information contained within the Data Schedule.

Supervised: Used in the context of protective relay circuits. The supervised devices
shall be continuously checked for circuit continuity by having a small amount of current
pass through the device. Loss of this current flow shall change the status of either a
visual indicator or relay.

Supplement: The applicable "North American Supplementary Requirements" or

"International Electrotechnical Commission Supplementary Requirements" of this
Standard. These supplementary requirements are throughout the Specification and
presented under the abbreviated heading of "[NA Supplement]" and "[IEC Supplement]".
