SEMI-DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN ENGLISH VII

I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson the students are expected to:
a. Use non-linear visuals as comprehensive aids in context texts; ( EN7RC-I-e-2.15)
b. Transcode orally and in writing the information presented in diagrams, charts,
table, graphs, etc.

III. PROCEDURE
a. Preparatory Activity
1. Review
Recall the story of “The Good Prince Bantugan” and Idioms
2. Motivation
In a group of five, let the students answer the riddles. Each correct answer will
be given one point.
1. I am a long narrow mark on surface. If you read me, it sounds like ‘mine’;
but not in the initial sound.
Answer: line
2. I am where a line begins and ends.
Answer: edge
3. I can emphasize the changes of the lines direction.
Answer: curve
4. You can call me dot since I’m also a small spot.
Answer: point
5. I am a part of a table and can be any kinds of paper. I will always be at the
top.
Answer: surface
6. I am a form or outline of an object.
Answer: shape
b. Developmental Activity
1. Presentation of the lesson
Ask students about their idea on what topic to be discussed based on the
activity.
2. Discussion
Divide the students into three and let them brainstorm their ideas about the
graphic organizer presented by the teacher.

Ask: What is/are the importance of using graphs?
4. Application
Let the students choose a graphic organizer based on the following topic/data.
Afterwards they will present their output in front.

The data gives information of the number of children involved in different
activities.
