1. Thì hiện tại đơn là gì?

Thì HTĐ diễn tả hành động xảy ra có sự lặp đi lặp lại, có tính quy luật hoặc diễn tả chân lý hoặc
sự thật hiển nhiên, diễn tả thói quen thường xuyên.
Ví dụ: She walks to school everyday. (Cô ấy đi học mỗi ngày)
He often plays football in the afternoon. (Anh ấy thường hay chơi bóng đá vào buổi
chiều)
2. Công thức thì HTĐ
Động từ tobe Động từ thường
Câu khẳng S(ít) + is + Adj/N S(ít) + V(s/es)
định S(nhiều) + are + Adj/N S(nhiều) + V(giữ nguyên)
I + am + Adj/N I + V(giữ nguyên)
VD: She is beautiful. VD: She plays tennis.
I am a student.
Câu phủ định S(ít) + is not/isn´t + Adj/N S(ít) + doesn´t/does not + V(nguyên)
S(nhiều) + are not/aren´t + Adj/N S(nhiều) + don´t/do not + V(nguyên)
I + am not + Adj/N I + don´t + V(nguyên)
VD: She isn´t beautiful. VD: She doesn´t play tennis.
Câu nghi vấn Is + S(ít) + Adj/N? – Yes, S(ít) + Does + S(ít) + V(nguyên)? – Yes, S

3. Dấu hiệu nhận biết

- Trong câu có những từ chỉ tần suất: often (thường), always (luôn luôn), usually(thường xuyên),
sometimes(thỉnh thoảng), rarely (hiếm khi) = seldom, every day/ week/ month/ year, once,
twice, three times…

VD: They watch TV every evening. (Họ xem truyền hình mỗi tối.)
