Let the students read and analyze the quote of Dennis Kucinich “My
philosophy comes from a worldview that looks at the world as one. It’s a
holistic view that sees the world as interconnected and interdependent and
integrated
in so many different ways”
Say:
To understand philosophy is to engage in it. This entails opening ourselves
up to the experience of questioning our own established beliefs, of looking
with the mind beyond
what we see with our senses.

Analysis:
Let the students engage in the discussion on the philosopher’s way of
thinking as “abstractive”.
Example:
Thales said “ Everything is related to each other because everything that
exists contains water”

Let the students recall an experience where they had a disagreement with
their family or friends over something.
Let them share it with one of their classmates.
