A Detailed Lesson Plan

in Arts 5
I. Objectives
Given a series of activities, the Grade 5 pupils should be able to;

1. demonstrates fundamental construction skills in making a 3-

dimensional craft that expresses balance, artistic design, and repeated
variation of decorations and colors,
2. constructs 3-D craft using primary and secondary colors, geometric
shapes, space, and repetition of colors to show balance of the structure
and shape,
3. applies knowledge of colors, shapes, and balance in creating paper
beads.

2. Presentation

So now, we have recalled our previous

discussion last meeting. Let’s see if you
can identify all the pictures whether they
are in 3D form or not.

If the object in the picture is in 3D, clap

your hands twice. And, if it’s not, stomp
your foot.

Do you understand, Grade 5?

Before we begin, what is the difference

between a 2D and a 3D art?

Yes, we understand, teacher.

Don’t you think there are similarities in
the pictures?
None, teacher.

And, what are those?

Anything else?
Now that you have mentioned it,
teacher. There are similarities present.
That is correct! Some 3D objects are
created with papers. They are in 3D-form, teacher.
Do you know what they are called?

That’s good to know. Always follow the instructions of the

teacher.
May I begin the demonstration now?

Thank you. Yes, we promise, teacher.

Listen carefully to what I say and observe

what I do. Because we will be creating
paper beads together. Okay? Yes you may, teacher.

Let us proceed.
Step 1:
Cut the papers into a triangular or
rectangular shape.
Step 2: Okay, teacher!
Add glue to the tip of the triangle or
rectangle
Step 3:
Roll the bead tightly.
Step 4:
Finish rolling, then glue the tip of the
triangle to the rolled paper.
Step 5:
Remove the bead from the stick.
Step 6:
Insert the yarn through the beads
following any kind of pattern you desire.

Additional Step:
You may create another bead using
different shapes or templates you had cut
from the different colored papers.

And, that’s about it!

Was the presentation clear to you, class?

Here is the outcome.

Let us try to look at our artworks created.
May I have someone from the class to
present their artwork in front?

Now, let us recall the steps in creating

paper beads.

Who wants to come in front and

demonstrate the first set?
______, you may proceed.

Step 1:
Cut the papers into a triangular shape.
