The financial crisis of 2007-2010 has been called by µ leading economists the worst financial crisis since the
Great Depression of µ 1930s. Economist Peter Morici has termed it “The Great Recession”. It contributed to
the failure of µ key businesses, declines in µ consumer wealth estimated in µ trillions of U.S. dollars, µ
substantial financial commitments incurred by the governments, and a significant decline in µ economic
activity. Many causes have been proposed. Both themarket- based and regulatory solutions have been
implemented or are under µ consideration, while µ significant risks remain for the world economy over
2010 - 2011 periods.

Провідні світові економісти назвали фінансовий кризис 2007-2010-тих найгіршим з часів Великої
Депресії середини минулого століття. Спеціаліст із області економіки Пітер Моричі увів термін
“Велика Рецесія” щодо нього. Ця катастрофа зробила вклад у крах ключових бізнесів, зниження
споживацьких статків оцінюваних в трильйонах доларів США, суттєві фінансові зобов’язання, що
лягли на плечі урядів, а також істотне зниження економічної активності.

Кризис мав багато різних причин. Ринкові та нормативні рішення проблеми були запровадженні або
зараз знаходяться на розгляді, поки ще зберігаються значні ризики для світової економіки в період
2010 -2011 років.
