DP1 (end) Clear and active involvement in at least 10 months’ worth of CAS experiences, backed
up by evidence and reflections. It must be clear that significant effort has been made to
achieve all seven CAS learning outcomes. It must be clear that there is a reasonable
balance between the three strands of CAS (creativity, activity, service). A CAS project
must be planned. All this evidence should be clearly documented in a CAS portfolio.
DP2 (Feb) Clear and active involvement in at least 18 months’ worth of CAS experiences, backed
up by evidence and reflections. All seven CAS learning outcomes must have been
clearly achieved at least once. It must be clear that there is a reasonable balance between
the three strands of CAS (creativity, activity, service). A CAS project must be completed.
All this evidence should be clearly documented in a CAS portfolio.

1. Inspiration session. Browse CAS experiences from DP2 students — ask them about their
thoughts
2. Coaching session. Ask them questions:
How they started their CAS
How they intend to achieve all learning outcomes
How they achieve a balance between C, A, S
Their CAS project
Brainstorm with them: what will your CAS programme be?
Develop a personal goal for your CAS programme
