Task 2.2.2

A Public Facebook Post

“The glory goes up to Him and the blessings fall down on me.”

First and foremost, I would like to thank God for His love and kindness. It is such a great honor
and pleasure to say that I won an international prestigious competition. This would not be possible
without the help and support of some remarkable people in my life. Words cannot begin to describe
my appreciation and gratitude for my parents. Thank you for always believing in me and
encouraging me to do my best. Your sacrifices and support have helped me complete this
accomplishment and I am grateful for all you have done. The time has come to finally celebrate
all you have done for me. I also would like to express my deepest gratitude to my tutor, Mr.
Vasquez, I would be completely nothing without your knowledge and guidance in this competition.
Thank you for believing in me and giving me a chance to prove myself that I can keep pace with
students internationally. Thank you for your strong dedication and patience to educate me, and for
your calming and positive influence in motivating me to strive more. Lastly, I also greatly
appreciate my friends, relatives, and teachers for sending their heartfelt support. Every message I
received contributed a lot to my encouragement.

I still can’t process everything but I am absolutely blessed and I’m very grateful for where I am
today. God’s love is incomparable, it is always perfect and sufficient. May He continue to bless us
all.
Positive and Negative Effects of social media

Social media, like two sides of a coin, has both positive and harmful aspects.

While virtual interaction on social media might not have the same psychological benefits as face-
to-face contact, it can nevertheless help you stay connected and improve your wellbeing in a
variety of ways.

• You can stay in touch and informed with family and friends all across the world.
• Make new acquaintances and join new communities; connect with those who have similar
interests or goals.
• Participate in or promote worthy causes, and raise awareness about vital concerns.
• If you live in a remote area, have limited independence, social anxiety, or are a member of
a marginalized group, you can find a critical social connection.
• You can find a way to express yourself and your creativity.
• You can find sources of useful information and education.

The good is accompanied by the negative. Despite its many advantages, the nature of social media
poses a number of potential problems.

• Feelings of inadequacy in your life or looks. Even if you're aware that the photographs
you're seeing on social media have been edited, they can still make you feel anxious about
your appearance or what's going on in your own life.
• You may feel fear of being left out (FOMO). Social media seem to amplify thoughts that
others are having more fun or enjoying better lives than you.
• High usage of social media enhances rather than lowers feelings of loneliness.
• Twitter and other social media platforms can be major sources for spreading harmful
rumors, lies, and abuse that can leave emotional scars.
• Sharing endless photos and your deepest thoughts on social media can lead to an unhealthy
sense of self-centeredness and a disconnect from real-life relationships.
