Abstract
This article addresses the role of legal school in the development of
public administration field. It discusses four major components, the
first deals with the emergence of legal dimension in studying public
administration, the second relates to the relationship between public
administration and administrative law, the third deals with the
relationship between public administration and public law, and the
fourth relates to the link between private law and the development of
public administration field.
This article reached the following results by using legal, historical and
analytical approaches:
- Legal sciences have contributed to the completion of the theoretical
basis governing public administration, especially with regard to
determining the basis of studying public administration, administrative
theories governing public administration, defining the boundaries of
public administration work, and studying international pressures
governing the work of public administration.
- Public administration suffers from problems in defining its borders,
not only at the level of legal disengagement between public and
private issues, but also at the level of disengagement within the
framework of public sphere itself.
