I. Objectives :

At the end of the lesson the students must be able to

a. Identify the steps in putting nail accessories;

b. Apply nail accessories ;

c. Give the importance of patience.

The teacher has used bloom’s taxonomy in writing learning objectives, Based on the Cognitive Process Dimensions adapted from
Anderson & Krathwohl (2001), it provides a scheme for classifying educational goals, objectives, and standards. It also defines a broad
range of cognitive processes from basic to complex.

discussion, let’s have a review first.

3. Statement of the aim

This morning we are going to learn how to “ Apply Nail


Accessories. “

Listen very carefully for at the end of the class you are
going to attain our objectives.

Before we learn on how to apply nail accessories, lets
come to know first Nail Art.
What comes into your mind when you hear the word, Nail Nail art is designing the nails.
Art?

The teacher asked the students to share their viewpoints and


allowing for a diversity of responses prompted by different
backgrounds, cultures, and orientations. The teacher used the
Connectivism Learning Theory in which learning occurs when
peers are connected and share opinions, viewpoints, and ideas
through a collaborative process.

Nail Art - is the practice of painting decorative designs


on the nails. It is a creative activity that draws
pictures or designs to your nail.

Using nail accessories is considered as one of the Nail Arts.

Let’s come to know the tools and materials that we will


use for applying nail accessories.

Tools :
 Nail Cutter
 Nail Pusher
 Nipper
Materials :
 Orange wood stick
 Nail Polish
 Base and Top Coat
 Cotton
 Acetone
 Gummy gel ( optional )
Accessories
 Glitters, Nail Beads ,Rhinestones, gem, dried
flowers

Now that we know the tools/materials to be used, what is


next? We have to know the steps.

Steps:
1. Prepare the tools, materials, and nail accessories.
2. Clean the nails.
3. Apply base coat.
4. Apply the nail polish ( color of your choice )
5. Apply second coating of the nail polish.
6. Apply the nail accessories. ( of your desired design ) ( Students observed. )
7. Apply top coat.

B. Demonstration

Please observe as I perform the following steps.

The teacher asked the students to observe her as she


perform the steps. The teacher used the Social Learning
Theory of Albert Bandura in which learning occurs when
the learner imitates from what he/she sees. It is also called
the “ Model Theory” .

1. Prepare the tools, materials, and nail accessories.

Why do we have to prepare the tools, materials and nail We have to prepare them so that we don’t forget anything
accessories first? and everything will just flow smoothly in working.

2. Clean the nails.

Why do we have to clean the nails? We have to clean the nails first to ensure proper hygiene.

3. Apply base coat.


4. Apply the nail polish ( color of your choice )
5. Apply second coating of the nail polish.

Why do we have to apply second coating? We have to apply second coating to enhance the color of
the nail polish.

6. Apply the nail accessories. ( of your desired design )


7. Apply top coat.

What are again the nail care tools, materials and


accessories to be used?

What are the steps in applying nail accessories? The nail care tools , materials and accessories to be used
are nail cutter, pusher , nipper, Orange wood stick , Nail
Polish, Base and Top Coat, Cotton, Acetone, Gummy gel.
The accessories are Glitters, Nail Beads ,Rhinestones, gem,
or even dried flowers.

Steps:
1. Prepare the tools, materials, and nail accessories.
