What are the animals found in tropical rainforest, coral reefs and
mangrove swamps?
- Rainforests are populated with insects, arachnids, worms, reptiles,
amphibians and mammals; In the coral reefs are sponges, fishes,
jelly fishes, anemones, sea stars and crustaceans; and in mangrove
swamps are where fishes’ lives and lay eggs; in mangrove swamps
are white ibis, brown pelican, heron, monkeys and turtles / Answers
may vary.
How can you maintain the number of animals in the specific area?
- By protecting and conserving them / Answers may vary
As a learner, how can you able to protect and conserve these
animals?
- As a student, I will never destroy their home and I will never kill
them for the sake of our living in order to maintain their habitat and
made them survive for a long time.

Group the learners into four. Each group will perform two activities.
Remind the learners about the norms to be followed in doing the activity.
Do not eat or drink during activity.
Keep your workplace clean.
Cooperate with your groupmates.
Seek the guidance of the teacher whenever in trouble.

Wash your hands after the activity.
Part B (Slogan Making)
Make a slogan illustrating ways how to protect and conserve Tropical rainforest,
coral reefs and mangrove swamps.
The scoring rubric will be used in rating the presentation of the slogan of each
group. (See attached scoring rubric – Appendix B)

A representative from each group will present their answers in the guide questions
of the group output. The scoring rubric will be used in rating the presentation of

2. What will happen to the animals and plants if the Tropical rainforest, coral reefs
and mangrove swamp where they are living are not protected and conserved
properly?
- Animals living on these different habitats will die. The ecosystem will not be
balanced. It can also result to the sickness of the people that will lead to death /
