3) What preparation is carried out to integrate you into university life during
your 1st year of study?
Để hòa nhập vào cuộc sống Đại học năm 1, tôi nghĩ mình cần chuẩn bị kĩ năng quản lý
thời gian, tự học, kĩ năng làm việc nhóm ngoài còn phải chuẩn bị “kiểu như là đừng bị
lừa gạt, hay tránh tệ nạn xã hội á bạn mình hông biết nói sao nữa huhu”

→ As a freshman student, I think i should prepare many

skills such as time management skill, teamwork skill.
Besides, staying away from social evils is very necessary
for me to develop
4) Why did you choose to study this programme/university?
Tôi chọn ngành chương trình đào tạo của ngành Computer Engineering bởi vì đây là một
ngành khá đặc biệt trong nhóm ngành CNTT, tôi sẽ được học cả về phần cứng lẫn phần
mềm, tôi khá thích thú với việc mình có thể tự tay hoàn thiện một sản phầm tiện ích

→ My major at UIT is computer engineering. I chose

that because it is a special major of IT sector. I will be
taught about hardware and software. I really enjoy
creating an utility products myself
5) Did you choose yourselves this CE programme? Explain!
Tôi tự chọn chương trình đào tạo này, do tôi thích các nhóm ngành về CNTT và tôi cũng
tìm hiểu được về sự thiếu hụt nhân lực trong lĩnh vực này
→ I choose this program myself because i like the IT
sector and i know there is manpower deficit in this field
During my learning process, i’ve known many
circumstances of my friends that they change their major
because at first they didn’t research for their major or they
didn’t choose their major at will. This leads to the
decrease in graduation rate
6) How does your the lecturer prepare you during the first lesson of each
course at the beginning of each semester?
Vào buổi học đầu tiên giảng viên cho chúng tôi biết tổng quan tôi sẽ học những gì trong
môn này, đề cương môn học (SUBJECT SYLLABUS_ kiểu phần trăm điểm rồi có thực
hành, thuyết trình đồ k á) để chúng tôi biết đối với môn học này sẽ có các hoạt động học
tập, tiếp theo là các nguồn tài liệu chúng tôi có thể tham khảo, và các chúng tôi liên lạc
với giảng viên nếu có thắc mắc

→ On the first day of class, lecturer gonna clarifies what

we will study in this course, subject syllabus in order for
us to know about the study activities of this course,study
materials that we can refer and how we will contact with
lecturer if we have any questions
7) Who/Where can you seek for academic and non-academic advice?
Khi cần tư vấn về học thuật tôi thường tìm cố vấn học tập bằng cách email hoặc gặp trực
tiếp, do lịch trực khoa của mỗi cố vấn học tập sẽ được đăng tải trên CE website sẽ cho
chúng ta biết thời gian và phòng để có thể tìm thấy họ
Còn về các vấn đề khác tôi thường hỏi ý kiến ba mẹ, hoặc nhận lời khuyên từ các anh chị
khóa trên

→ When it comes to academic advices, I usually contact

my academic advisor for those by sending emails or direct
meetings. It works because their reception schedule is
posted in CE website, which we can search for to know
the time, and the place they are available to meet. For
non-academic advices, I usually take from my parents, or
seek for the advices from my seniors.
8) How and when do you have to meet up with your academic advisor?
Trong một kì thì chúng tôi bắt buộc phải tổ chức gặp mặt cố vấn học tập của mình ít nhất
là 3 lần có thể onl or off, ngoài ra nếu như gặp các vấn đề cá nhân chúng tôi có thể email
hoặc gặp riêng trực tiếp CVHT của mình

→ In each semester, we have to hold a meeting with our

academic advisor at least 3 times, it can be online or
offline meeting, depending on the circumstances. Besides,
when it comes to personal issues, we can email or
personally meet our advisor
9) How does your lecturer go about teaching a particular course in a
semester?

Giảng viên sẽ dùng powerpoint để trình chuyến các kiến thức, “với nói cái học bằng case
của bạn ghép dô mình mình nhe”. Ví dụ đối với môn Introduction to Digital Circuits
ngoài việc giảng về các kiến thức giảng viên còn cho các bài kiểm tra tại lớp để kiểm tra
sinh viên đã hiểu bài chưa, đặc biệt mỗi 2 tuần SV sẽ làm một bài thực hành để có thể
vận dụng được những kiến thức đã học

→ Well, when it comes to teaching a particular course, the lecturers will use
powerpoint to deliver the lesson, while apply as many case studies as possible so that we
can visualize the problem in the most familiar way. For example, the subject Introduction
to Digital Circuits, besides teaching the lessons, the lecturers usually examine students by
a quick test to make sure all of us understand the lesson. And every 2 weeks all of us
have to do a practice test to utilize our knowledge.
10) What are the common teaching and learning methods used by the lecturer?
(“câu này ông thầy kêu nói là kiểu tụi mình chủ động làm chứ k phải là thầy cô
gửi btap và tụi mình phải làm hay phải làm thuyết trình”)
Tôi thường hoàn thành các bài tập về nhà và bài tập tại lớp từ giảng viên, ngoài ra đối
với một số môn như môn như môn Data Structures and Algorithms chúng tôi sẽ được
chia nhóm và làm bài thuyết trình, seminar về một đề tài của môn học, điều này giúp
hiểu rõ hơn về nhưng kiến thức đã học

I usually finish off my homework and in-class excersise given by our lecturers.
Besides, in case of subjects like Data Structures and Algorithms, we will be divided
into groups and make presentation, which helps us to deeply understand about the
subject.
11) How effective are these teaching and learning methods used in acquiring
your knowledge and skills?
Về việc chúng ta làm được các bài tập, bài thực hành để hiểu rõ các kiến thức thì, một
số bài tập hay bài thực hành ấy phải được làm nhóm điều này giúp chúng tôi rèn luyện
được kĩ năng làm việc nhóm, đặc biệt là kĩ năng nói trước đám đông trong các buổi
thuyết trình
12) How and when information about student assesment for a particular course
is communicated to you? What information is conveyed?
Việc đánh giá sinh viên cho một khóa học sẽ được giảng viện chuyển tải trong buổi
học đầu tiên và những thông tin ấy sẽ được ghi trong SUBJECT SYLLABUS, ví dụ
một số môn học điểm giữa kì sẽ được tính bằng một bài thuyết trình hoặc một cái
project nào đó chứ không cần phải làm kiểm tra

→ Student assessment for a course will be conveyed by lecturers in the first

lesson and that informations will be recorded in SUBJECT SYLLABUS. For
example, the midterm score of some subjects will be evaluated by presentations or
projects and it is unecessary to take a test

13) How and when the results and feedback of student assessment is
communicated to you?
Sau tối đa 20 ngày kể từ ngày kiểm tra điểm sinh viên sẽ được cập nhật trên DAA
website tôi có thể đăng nhập bằng tài khoản trường cung cấp và kiểm tra
Về phần đánh giá của sinh viên sẽ được gửi đến sau khi môn học đã được hoàn thành
và thường sẽ trước khi kì thi cuối kỳ diễn ra

→ Maximum has been 20 days since the student took the test and student's
scores will be updated on DAA website, i can access by my account which is supply
by university to check. Feedback of student assessment will be sent after the course
has been completed, it is usually before the final exam.

14) Did you satisfy you with GPA 2.5 or 3 (/4)? How did you plan improve?
 Tôi thấy không hài lòng với GPA như thế vì nó có vẻ hơi thấp, để cải thiện nó tôi nghĩ
tôi sẽ tham gia vào học kì hè ở trường, lúc này tôi sẽ cần nhưng tự vấn, trợ giúp từ cố
vấn học tập hoặc giảng viên môn này để cải thiện tốt hơn, ngoài ra tôi sẽ tập hợp bạn
bè có nguyện vọng cải thiện như tôi để cùng nhau học và cái thiện

→ I am not satisfied with such GPA because it seems to be a bit low with me
and i think i will join summer semester to improve my GPA. Therefore, i need a help,
consultation from my academic advisor or lecturers of this subject. Besides, i will
make a form to gather student who have the same wish with me to study summer
course together.
15) How can you appeal against the result or grading of the assessment or
examination?
Đối với các bài thuyết trình hoặc bài kiểm tra giữa kì tôi có thể hỏi trực tiếp giảng
viên để hỏi về con điểm đó, đối với các bài kiểm tra cuối kì thì sau khi nhận điểm
phòng đào tạo sẽ có thông báo về việc khiếu nại/phúc khảo trên DAA web và có thời
hạn 7 ngày từ ngày có thông báo, tôi có thể đăng kí và phí phúc khảo 20k cho mỗi
môn
→ For presentations or midterm exams, I can meet the lecturer directly to ask
about that score. For the final term exams, after receiving the score, the training
department will announce about the appeal on DAA website and i have duration with
7 days to take appeal. the cost of appeal is 20k for each subject.
16) How satisfied are you with the classrooms, library, labs, IT facility and
general amenities? and other student services?
I believe the facilities have made their best performance: modern, well-upgraded,...nhưng
đôi lúc phòng học có vẻ hơi nóng đối với các sinh viên học chương trình đại trà
And all the student services have helped us very much chẳng hạn chung tôi được hỗ trợ
lưu trữ không giớ hạn trên GG drive và sử dụng microsoft office 365 miễn phí trong 4
năm học
→ I believe the facilities have made their best performance: modern, well-
upgraded,... but sometimes the classroom seems quite hot for the students who study the mass
program. And all the student services have helped us very much for example, we are
supported with unlimited storage on GG drive and used microsoft office 365 for free for 4 school
years

17) What emergency procedure is carried out in the event of fire or earth-
quake?
Ở VN thì hiếm khi có động đất, còn khi có cháy đầu tiên hãy bình tĩnh bấm chuông
báo cháy, hoặc sử dụng bình cứu hỏa cho các đám cháy nhỏ, và đi lối thoát hiểm thay
vì dùng thang máy
 → Earthquakes occur infrequently in Vietnam, but about the event of fire.
Firsly, you should stay calm and press the bell emergency button. You can also use a fire
extinguisher for small fires if you have ablility. The most important thing you must
remember is that you must escape that place by the emergency exit instead of using
elevator.

18) What activities do you participate in UIT pioneers or in society to prevent

Covid-19?
Mặc dù tôi không thể tham gia làm tình nguyện viên nhưng tôi có ủng hộ vào quỹ
vacxin của trường,

→ I can not participate in UIT pioneers or in society, but I will donate to the
“Covid-19 vaccine fund” of my university. And I have shared posts about preventing
the pandemic of clubs of UIT, as I believe it is the way to spread positive energy to all
people I love and care out there
19) How did you learn online in pandemic Covid 19?
Ở UIT, chúng tôi sử dụng MS Team and moodle system, tôi có thể dùng moodle
system để nộp bài tập, deadline
Về việc đánh giá/kiểm tra cuối kì online, chúng tôi phải làm bài trên moodle system
và một công cụ ứng dụng Safe Exam Browser, ứng dụng này sẽ ngăn chặn ta sử dụng
các ứng dụng cũng như các trang web khác trong thời gian kiểm tra, chương trình chỉ
thoát ra khi hết giờ làm bài hoặc hoàn thành bài. Ngoài ra chúng tôi phải kết nối MS
Team trong một thiết bị khác như điện thoại để hỗ trợ giảng viên quản lý học sinh

→ At UIT, we use MS Team and moodle system for online learning. Besides,
I also can use moodle system to submit assignments or deadlines
When the final exam is conducted online, we have to do the test on the moodle system
and a Safe Exam Browser application, which prevent students from using other apps
and websites during this test duration. Moreover, the program only exits when the test
time is up or the test is completed. In addition, we have to connect to MS Team in
another device such as a phone to support teachers make the roll call and manege
students

20)What is the one thing that you liked and disliked about the programme? (can be in

Khó khăn khi học onl

→ Firstly, i find that online learning makes me distracted. Next, lecturers will
have difficulty in interacting with students and the student assessment will become
more difficult than offline learning. Moreover, we must depend completely on
internet and electricity. Finally, spending too much time on computer can do harm to
student’s eyes and health
