At the end of the lesson the students are able to:


a. Describe the nature and background of the festivals in the country.
b. Value the importance of festival dance.
c. Performs the steps of festival dance

Topic: Festival Dances
Reference: Learner’s Guide in Physical Education 9 (module)
Materials: Smart TV, Laptop

III. PROCEDURE
a. Preparatory/Routinary activities (Prayer, attendance, review of last lesson).
b. Motivation – “4pics 1 word ” (FESTIVAL DANCE)

c. Lesson Proper
1.) The teacher will discuss nature and background of the festivals in the country.
2.) Differentiate the types of Festival dance.
3.) Perform one local festival dance.

IV. EVALUATION
Instruction: Answer the following questions.
ESSAY:

1. What is festival dance?


2. What is the reason why we celebrate festival dance?
3. Enumerate at least 5 festival dance we had discussed earlier.

V. ASSIGNMENT

Research some festival dance, religious or secular and indicate the history.
