LESSON PLAN IN MAPEH- HEALTH 9
I. Objectives:
1. Enumerate the accidents that are commonly happening in our daily activities.
2. Perform basic first aid to some unintentional injuries with sense of responsibility and proper care.
3. Give importance the use of basic first aid to some unintentional injuries as lifesaving method.

II. Subject Matter

A. Topic: First aid on Unintentional Injuries
B. References: Physical Education and Health Learner’s Material (pp. 324-
348)

C. Materials: DLP Projector, laptop, paper strips, speaker, video clip

III. Learning Activities

A. Preliminary
1. Prayer
2. Greetings, arranging of chairs and picking up of trashes (if necessary)
3. Checking of attendance
4. Classroom Rules

5. Motivation:
The teacher will lead the class to sing a song “Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed”. Then
right after the song the students will be asked with some questions.

6. Presentation of Objectives
The presentation of the objectives will be flashed on screen and everyone
should read it comprehensively.

B. Lesson Proper
1. Activity: “Search and Rescue” (Indicator no. 1 Science subject integration)

The class will be divided into 2 groups. Each group will list down at least 5 unexpected injuries or
as many as the learners can based on the situation. Then the learners will report their work to the class.

 2. Analysis:
Based on the different accidents they have listed, each group will identify unintentional injuries
and intentional injuries.

3. Abstraction: Lecture-Demonstration
The Learner can define the meaning of unintentional injury and able to see the techniques of
first aid by giving generalization.

4. Application: “Rescue Me”

With the same group, students will try to apply basic first aid to some commonly observe
Unintentional injuries and reenact how to rescue the victim with proper first aid.
They are given 2 minutes to prepare.

The students’ performance shall be rated according to the criteria below.
