Greetings of Peace!

The department of Education is committed to ensuring improve learners’

reading performance as one of the priorities of learning recovery plan.

A school-level kick Off shall be held on November 7, 2022 according

to the Office of the Undersecretary for curriculum and Instruction, Assistant
Secretary, Office in charge, Alma Ruby C. Torio from the DepEd memorandum
DM-CI-2022 389. Aside from that, the Memorandum imposed that November
27, 2022 is declaired as “Araw ng Pagbasa”, a regular working holiday, through
the Republic Act (RA) No. 10556.

In line with this, may we request your good office to allow us to

conduct a book month celebration in our school, Apalit High School from
November 7, 2022 to November 27, 2022.

Engaging the learners to the New Normal set-up includes involving

them in the different activities that is aligned to the different modalities capable
to the BOOK WEEK Celebration with a theme “BASA.BAYAN.BUKAS”.
Attached herewith are the supporting documents (Activity Matrix for
Proposal and ) for reference and approval.
