Chemical Loading Procedure
Rev.: R00
1.0 INTRODUCTION
The Hassi Bir Rekaiz development project is an upstream project with Phase 1 development consisting
of 17 Wellsites, 2 Gathering Stations (GS1&2) and a Gathering Hub (GH) with multiphase flow to
Rhourde El Baguel (REB) via pipeline. In Phase 2, additional Central Production Facilities (CPF),
pipelines and related infrastructure will be installed in accordance with full field development plan.
The identification for roles and responsibility between Operations division with other discipline in
Groupement Hassi Bir Rekaiz (GHBR) Project Phase1 is necessary for Operational Excellent
achievement.
2.0 PURPOSE
The purpose of this procedure is to provide guidelines for efficient chemical loading operations for
WELLS/GS1-2/GH to ensure that chemical loading is performed in a safe and secure manner.
This procedure will be applied for loading chemicals from tankers, drums and other facilities to be
performed by the well measure and control operator correctly and safely.
3.0 SCOPE
This procedure will describe Production Department (EP) Staff to fill the chemical tanks in Well sites,
Gathering Station No.1 &2 and Gathering Station Hub.
The Production staffs shall fill the chemical tanks in accordance with this procedure.

Tanker stops are in place, drums are putted on the secured location before start loading.
Use the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Ensure that correct chemical products to be loaded are confirmed, are clearly marked and
segregated from other materials.
Check the vessel / equipment receiving chemicals are be equipped with proper
instrumentation for monitoring to avoid overfilling / spillage of chemicals.
Each chemical storage compartment is provided with inlet line for fill-up from tank/truck or
drum.

Recommended initial loading volume for each tanks / vessels are shown in Table
WELL SITE
GATHERING HUB
The refilling frequency will be determined later according to each tank compartment
volume and daily consumption.
Low alarm is set with an appropriate margin of 1-2 days injection to give adequate time
for the storage tank to be refilled.
