I. OBJECTIVES
Content Standard : The learner demonstrates understanding of basic concepts, underlying theories
and principles in applying safety measures in farm operations.
Performance Standard : The learner observes safety measures in farm operations in horticulture.
Learning Competencies : LO 8. Apply appropriate safety measures while working in the farm
Objectives : 8.2. Utilize tools and materials in accordance with specifications and procedures,
and 8.3. Follow the guidelines in wearing outfits
Sub-task : Identify and define the different PPE’s specifically used in horticulture or farming
per say.

IV. PROCEDURES
A. Preliminary Activity
a. Review
b. Motivation
The teacher will show a signage place outside a certain construction site, wherein it differentiates a person
with or without the PPE’s.
c. Presentation of the Lesson
Present the lesson for the day.

B. Activity
The teacher will provide an activity sheet per student. This activity sheet is a picture of a cartooned human.
The student needs to draw a line from the picture and outwards and then INDICATE the PPE’s needed on that
certain body part. Ten minutes is allotted for this activity.

C. Analysis
Why PPE’s was invented or produced? What is it for us?
D. Abstraction
If time permits, the teacher will have a generalization about the lesson for that day.

E. Application
Will you wear these PPE’s? Why or why not?

V. EVALUATION
The teacher will conduct a five (5) item formative assessment. Students will use a ¼ sheet of paper.

VI. ASSIGNMENT
Read and study the topic on pp. 106 – 107, prepare for a reporting by group tomorrow.
