Lesson Idea
Bloom’s Digital Taxonomy Level(s): (Which level(s) will this lesson meet using this technology
tool?)
How will this lesson be implemented? Check all that apply. (Sometimes only one option will
apply.)
☐ Teacher-directed: There is no student voice and choice in the activities. Students are guided by the
teacher's direction and expectations.
☐ Student-Led: Students are given voice and choice in the activities. They may select the topic for
presentation and/or determine the tool they will use to meet the learning goal. Products of
learning will be uniquely designed. Teacher simply facilitates the learning in a lesson like this.
Project-based and/or Publishable: Students are completing projects to demonstrate their learning
and the projects can be shared outside of the classroom. This objective could be reached by
displaying the project on the school’s morning newscast, posting the project to the classroom
blog, presenting it to another class, or publishing it via an outside source.

Lesson Idea
The activity I plan on doing is having 6 faces showing different emotions and give each
student a card or piece of paper with their name on it. Tape the 6 faces on a wall. Then read
various situations to them. After reading each situation, let the students tape their name card
under the face that describes their feelings related to each situation. Ask the kids to explain
why they made the choice. I would have the students make a situation of their own and have
the other students decide what emotion they’re describing. To conclude the lesson I would,
place students into group and kind of do like a charades-like game where they would act out
an emotion or describe an emotion and have the rest of the class guess what they are doing.
Managing the technology/engagement: They would get involved because they get to make
their own situation so they’re actively thinking and using their creativity.
Universal Design for Learning (UDL): This activity gets students more comfortable with using
Microsoft and they get to explore it while also showing their creativity.
