Glittergem

Growing up in a big home isn't always easy!


Born at a very young age (as her dad would say),
Faetra has always been yet another child of the
large Glittergem family. The fifth-born of twelve,
there was always love - and a number of chaotic
rugrats - in the home. Faetra's father, Milvut, spent
long days at the mill (and always brought home
trinkets and treats!) while Cevinka stayed home to
raise the children.
Of course, a family loves each child equally, but
Faetra sometimes felt overlooked when her new
siblings were born or her older ones had major
accomplishments. Faetra felt common ground with
Fensni and Tugnirt, who liked to participate in fun
jokes and pranks on the other kids, but really
stood alone when her interests in tinkering arose.
No one in the family really understood what
exactly the strange electrical devices scattered
around the home were doing, but after a rather...
shocking incident, most stayed relatively clear.
As her siblings began to leave the house, Faetra
was ready to be the most senior of the remaining
children when Slirem returned home with his
fiance, taking the spotlight once again. While the
wedding was being planned, Faetra planned
something different - an escape! By tradition, after
spending a year as the oldest (helping around the
home and planning for the future) the Glittergem
children would leave on a journey or to an
apprenticeship to help plot their course in life.
Faetra was still waiting on Lailwun to complete her
role as Sequens Susceptum. But it just seemed
too long to wait. Bringing the little bit of her
savings, and shoving as many electrical
components as would fit in her bag, Faetra hit the
road - leaving only a simple recording to explain
her early departure.
After some time on the road, Faetra soon realized
that the benefits of living at home had provided her
arcane power sources much more than she had
realized, and began studying ancient ruins
