12.1 AIR COOLED HEAT PUMP FOR GENERATING HOT WATER

Providing, fixing, testing and commissioning of Micro Processor
Controlled air cooled Heat pump delivering actual capacity as per the
following parameters .
Heat pumps shall be rated at 10.3 KW of input power and 38 KW of
output power. Refrigerant used should be environment friendly R-
410a. Heat pump should heat water upto 55⁰C on heat pump mode. It
shall have silent operation and the sound level should not exceed 65
dB.

variation in demand at different periods(1w+1s) Each

Note: Contractor to revalidate design of Pumps based on selected heat

pump capacity.

Cost of shifting of Heat Pump at desired level shall be included in this

item.

12.2 Hot Water Storage Tank

Providing, fixing testing & commissioning of SS 304 horizontal hot

water storage tank (Capacity 6000 Ltrs) suitable for minimum 6 Kg
/Sqm working pressure. Tank shall be provided with water flow meter
at inlet (approved by department of weights and measures), inlet /
outlet, overflow / drain connection with MH cover 6 mm thick SS tank,
pressure relief valves, pressure gauge at inlet / outlet with isolation
cock, thermometer at inlet / outlet. All the valves & accessories shall
be suitable for an operating pressure of 6 Kg/sq.cm.
 Tank shall be insulated with glass wool insulation including 24 gauge
aluminium cladding. Tank shall provided with 15 mm dia testing spout
with valve (inlet temperature to hot water storage tank 60-65 deg.C).
The flanges shall be machined from SS304 sheets with dimensions
confirming to ANSI, B 16.5 No. 150. The nozzles shall be SS pipes.
(Tank shall be fabricated as per unfired pressure vessel code IS 2825-
1969, IS 226 / IS 2062).

Tank shall be complete with insulation, MS supporting structure with

access ladder duly painted with red oxide with following connections.

12.3 Pumps :
Providing, fixing, testing & commissioning of Horizontal centrifugal
monoblock pump set with cast iron body, with SS impeller, stainless
steel shaft coupled with TEFC squirrel cage induction motor suitable for
operations on 415/440 volts, 3 phase, 50 Hz, AC supply mounted on
common M.S. channel base frame.

12.4.1 Providing, fixing, testing and commissioning of Chlorinated Polyvinyl

Chloride (CPVC) pipes, for Hot water circulation & return pumps
suction & delivery piping including all CPVC plain & brass threaded
fittings. This includes jointing of pipes & fittings with one step CPVC
solvent cement, testing of joints complete as per direction of Engineer
in Charge.

12.5 Electrical control panel & cables:

12.5.1 Providing, fixing, testing and commissioning of dust, damp and vermin
proof, free floor standing factory built sheet steel enclosed nondrawout
modular panel for water supply pumps, fabricated out of suitable sized
square tubular section and covered with 2.0mm thick CRCA sheet,
hinged doors of 2mm thick CRCA sheet, duly painted complete with
earth bus, necessary metering protections & indications and mounted
with the following including all inter connection etc. (Including earthing).

a) One No. 100 amps TP incoming MCB complete with the following:
i) 1 No. 0-500 volts 96x96 sq. mm ammeter with selector switch and
fuses. (1 set).
ii) 1 No. 0-100 amps 96x96sq.mm ammeter with 60/5 amps ratio CT's and
selector switch.
 iii) Phase indicating lamps with toggle switches.
iv) Indication lamps for ON/OFF/TRIP status of motors.

Note :
a) All switch gear/panels shall be suitable for 25 KA rating.
b) All outgoing will have 96 sq. mm size ammeter and CT.
c) All starter units for pumps to be provided with 3 level liquid level
contractor.
d) All outgoing starter units to have "ON" red lamps.
e) All pumps to be provided with duty selector switch.
f) All pumps to be provided with sequence timer 220/440 V AC/DC and
alternate working of pumps between 6 to 8 hours or alternate use of
pumps after one service in sequence.
g) All pumps to be provided with over load relay.
h) Necessary cable alleys for space switches, level controller internal
wiring and copper earthing of all equipment shall also be included. All
switch gears/control gears shall be motor duty rating. Set

12.5.2 Providing, laying, jointing, testing, & commissioning the PVC insulated
& sheathed FRLS Armoured cables of 1.1 K.V. Aluminium Conductor
including supplying and making and termination with brass
