I. LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Timeframe: 40 minutes
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
1. define physical fitness and explain the health components and skill-related
fitness;
2. create and give example of physical fitness activity; and
3. give importance on what make up the physical fitness into our health.

MOTIVATION:
Direction: Connect letters to form words that is related to physical fitness. It may be
horizontal, vertical or diagonal. Then, get a piece of paper and jot down all the
words you found the table.

ABSTRACTION
The teacher will discuss the following concepts.

PHYSICAL FITNESS

 is when you perform a daily task without getting tired and still has the
energy to enjoy other activities.

Physical activities has two types


1. Health-related component
 are factors that show how well the system of your body.
a. Muscular Strength – the amount of force your muscle can produce.
b. Flexibility – ability to joints fully through a wide related of motion.
2. Skill related component
 are factors that form the basis for a successful activity.

These are the fitness components


1. Cardio respiratory endurance
2. Body composition

4. Muscular strength
5. Muscular endurance

9. Coordination

APPLICATION
Directions: Group yourselves in to 2. The first group will going to perform health
related fitness components. And the second group will also perform about skill
related components.

EVALUATION
Direction: Identify the fitness components of the following picture below.

ASSIGNMENT
The teacher will give an assignment to reinforce the lesson that will be submitted in
the next meeting.
Direction: Answer the following question.
1. Give at least 2 example activities each of fitness components.
