EPISODE 9: OBSERVING TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATION IN THE CLASSROOM

I. Learning Activities
Read the following questions and instructions carefully before you observe.

1. What is the lesson about?

- Ang talakayan ay patungkol sa isang alaman na may pamagat na Alamat ni Prinsesa Manorah

2. What visual aids/materials/learning resources is the teacher using?

- Kagamitang Biswal, Telebisyon at Yeso

3. Observe and take notes on how the teacher presents/uses the learning resources.

- Ginamit niya ang mga ito bilang motibasyon sa mga mag-aaral.

- Ginamit habang tinatalakay ang paksa sa pamamagitan ng pagpapanood ng bidyo sa
telebisyon,
- Ginagamit ng guro ang yeso tuwing may salita siyang nais bigyang diin.

4. Closely observe the learners' response to the teacher's use of learning resources. Listen to their
verbal responses. What do their responses indicate? Do their responses show attentiveness,
eagerness, and understanding?

Nagiging epektibo ang paggamit ng mga kagamitan ng guro sa pagtuturo, mapapatunayan ito
sa pagsagot ng mga bata nang tama sa mga tanong ng guro. Ito ay nagsasaad lamang na nakikinig ang
mga bata at nauunawaan ang itinuturo ng guro.

5. Focus on their non-verbal responses. Are they learning and are they showing their interest in the
lesson and in the materials? Are they looking towards the direction of the teacher and the materials?
Do their actions show attentiveness, eagerness, and understanding?

Sa pagpapanood ng bidyo ng guro lahat ay nakatutok ngunit sa aking pagoobserba may iilang
mga bata ang nagkukuwentuhan, tumitingin sa labas o yumuyuko na lamang sa kanilang lamesa, ito
ay nangangahulugang tinatamad sila dahil sa haba ng bidyo—kaya marapat lamang na umisip ng
paraan ang guro upang maging epektibo ang kaniyang mga kagamitan at mapanatili ang atensyon ng
bata sa pakikinig.

1. Use the technology integration form to analyze the class you observed. In which level of
technology integration do you think the teacher you observed operated? Why?

Nakagagamit ang guro ng telebisyon at laptop—ang dalawang ito ang pangunahing

teknolohiya na nagagamit ng aming guro sa klase. Tipikal na gamit na ginagamit ng mga guro sa
panahon ngayon. Bilang karagdagan ay gumagamit na rin siya ng excel sa pagtatala ng mga graado
sa kaniyang klase. Bilang sabi, ang guro ay nakasasabay sa pag-unlan sa kaalaman pagdating sa
teknolohiya. Marunong gumamit ng powerpoint, maglagay ng mga bidyo maging nagagamit ang
social media app sa pag-aaral.

Ang klase ay nagkakaroon ng aktibong kaugnayan sa teknolohiya. Sa pamamagitan ng

paggamit ng telebisyon, laptop, flicker at iba pang gawa ng teknolohiya mula sa guro ay
nakatutulong upang mas mapadali ang pagkatuto sa loob ng klase.

Oo, nagagamit ng maayos at epektibo ang teknolohiya bilang gamit sa pagkatuto ng mga
mag-aaral. Dahil sa pamamagitan nito naiiaangkop ng guro ang talakayan sa interes ng mga mag-
aaral. Maraming pag-aaral din ang nagsasabi na sa tulong ng mga audio visual presentation ay mas
napapanatili ang pagkatuto sa isang tao.

IV. Reflection
Put yourself in the place of the teacher. What would you do similarly and what would you do
differently if you would teach the same lesson to the same group of students? Why?

Bagamat nakagagamit ng teknolohiya ang aking guro hindi niya buong potensyal na
nagagamit ito. Kung ako ang nasa kaniyang posisyon papalitan ko ang disenyo ng PPT, lalakihan ko
ang mga sulat at iaangkop ko ang mga kulay nito sa tema sa araw na iyon. Magdadala rin ako ng
ispiker upang magamit sa aktibidad ng mga bata. Ngunit bukod sa mga ito ay gagayahin ko na ang
guro sapagkat nakita ko na ang kaniyang mga ginawa ay epektibo.

Nagagamit ng guro ang teknolohiya upang makatulong sa pagkatuto ng mga mag-aaral. Ang
kuha na ito ay larawan nang tinatalakay ng guro ang paksa. Aktibo ang mga mag-aaral sa partisipasyon
sa oras ng talakayan at bagamat mainit ang silid puno ito ng pagkatuto at tawanan.
