Ok. Very good! So, what is a synonym again?

STUDENT: Synonym are words that have the same, or almost the same, meaning as another word.

Very good! Can you give me examples of Synonyms?


STUDENT: Pretty- Beautiful; Smart- Intelligent; Happy- Joyful; Hard- Difficult; Soft- Tender; Sad-
Sorrowful; Angry- Furious; Loud- Noisy

Wow. Very good! Now you know the definition and the examples of Synonyms, let’s proceed to our new
topic for today.

Before we start of our new topic for today, I have some colored papers that I need to show you. Can I
have 3 students to please come forward and to give you the colored paper…

Ok class, I have some words that your classmates showed you in front. Then, read of the following
words. Then, all you need to do is to identify which of these words that have the opposite meaning.
