SCHOOL CLOSURE DUE TO COVID -19
By the end of this lesson, pupils will be able to :
1. Write down at least five names of animals based on the pictures given.
OBJECTIVES 2. Write down about the animals they like and they don’t like in at least four sentences.

PRE LESSON
1. Teacher places the flashcards on the board and writes a number 1 to 8 under each one.
2. Pupils draw a 2X2 grid in their notebooks and write a number of their choice in each square.
3. Teacher calls out the animals at random. Pupils cross out the numbers as they hear the animals.
4. The first pupil(s) to cross out all four is/are the winner(s).
LESSON DEVELOPMENT
1. Pupils look at their Student’s Book, page 40. Pupils look at the pictures of animals.
2. Pupils say out the names of animals in each group. Pupils identify a different animal in three groups of animals. Pupils
ACTIVITY write down the names of those animals in their notebooks.
3. Pupils listen to a recording, CD1 Track 61. Pupils listen to the recording and arrange the animals in correct sequence.
Pupils listen to the recording again and check the answers in pairs.
4. Pupils read the model sentences about favourite animals in their Student’s Book as a class.
5. Pupils write about the animals they like and they don’t like based on the model sentences.
6. Pupils read aloud their sentences at random.
7. Pupils listen and draw lines after listening to a recording, CD1 Track 62 in the worksheet given.
8. Teacher discusses the answers together with pupils.
POST LESSON
1. Pupils complete the dictation given by the teacher. Pupils check their answers in pairs.
