RESOLUTION NO. 04 SERIES 2024

“A RESOLUTION ADOPTING AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE POSITION OF

BARANGAY ENVIRONMENTAL POLICE OF BARANGAY CAHABAAN, IN ACCORDANCE
WITH ART. 25 OF THE IMPLEMENTING RULES AND REGULATION OF REPUBLIC ACT.
7160, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT CODE OF 1991”

WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 17 of RA 7160 otherwise known as the Local Government

Code of 1991 and Resolution no. 31-2017 dated January 18, 2017entitled “A resolution
Sincerely Requesting All Barangay Chairman in the province of Camarines Norte to create and
Adopt an Ordinance Creating Position of Barangay Environmental Police, spearheading in
maintaining the cleanliness of the area, controlling pollution relating to waste management
and in particular controlled wastes and other services that needs their expertise.

WHEREAS, the Barangay Environmental Police is responsible in maintaining the cleanliness

of the area, controlling pollution relating to waste management and in particular controlled
wastes and other services that needs their expertise.

WHEREAS, his/her responsibilities include maintaining the community on controlled waste

management issues, including the transport, treatment and disposal of controlled wastes.

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Kgd. Jamaica L. Bilano and duly seconded by the members
of Sangguniang Barangay, be it;

RESOLVED, as is it hereby resolved to adopt…

 BARANGAY ORDINANCE NO 01 series of 2024

“AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE POSITION OF BARANGAY ENVIRONMENTAL POLICE

OF BARANGAY CAHABAAN, IN ACCORDANCE WITH ART. 25 OF THE IMPLEMENTING
RULES AND REGULATION OF REPUBLIC ACT. 7160, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE
LOCAL GOVERNMENT CODE OF 1991”

BE IT OBTAINED by the Sangguniang Barangay of Cahabaan, Talisay Camarines Norte.

SECTION 1. CREATION OF THE POSITION.

It is the creation of the position of BARANGAY ENVIRONMENTAL POLICE of this
barangay.

SECTION 2. APPOINTMENT AND TERMINATION

The appointment and termination of service of Barangay Environmental Police will be in
accordance with article 53 (b)(5) of IRR of the Republic Act. 7160, other provision of the code
and as maybe prescribed by appropriate authorities.

SECTION 3. QUALIFICATIONS.
The interested applicant must be of legal age, a resident and a voter of this barangay,
and no pending case filed in this barangay.

SECTION 3. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.

Barangay Environmental Police, is responsible in maintaining the cleanliness of the
area, controlling pollution relating to waste management and in particular controlled wastes
and other services that needs their expertise.

SECTION 4. HONORARIUM AND BENEFITS.

The amount of Five Hundred Pesos Only (Php 500.00) per month shall be the
honorarium of the environmental police. He/She be also be entitled to all benefits enjoyed by
the appointive officials.

SECTION 5. REPEALING CLAUSE.

All issuances ordinances inconsistent are herewith and hereby refilled for modified
accordingly.

SECTION 6. EFFECTIVITY
This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.

RESOLVED FURTHER, to submit copies hereof for review to `the Honorable Sangguniang
Bayan, thru the Vice Mayor, Talisay Camarines Norte and all concerned offices for their
information and appropriate action.
