COURTESY CALL

Before we go to the respected cooperating school, Ma’am Maria Lourdes

Olivares conducts a short meeting for the sorting of reminders as well as the
confirmation of the inclusive dates for conducting an observation. She told us
that we must submit a letter of permission to her office for the checking and
signing of designated instructors for the observation in Field Studies 1 and 2. The
inclusive dates for Field Study 1 are from October 23 to November 17, 2023, and
for Field Study 2, from November 20 to December 15, 2023.

Wednesday, October 18, 2023

We went to the dean first to check the letter before going to the
respected instructors for signatories, but she was nowhere to be found, so we
just asked the class president of BEEd 4A because she had already checked it.
We attempted to message the FS1 instructor for the letter that we would have
him sign due to time constraints. He immediately read and proofread the letter
before we had him sign it.

Thursday, October 19, 2023

Ms. Adelyn and Ms. Mary Grace went to Baao West Elementary School in
the morning to find Mr. Clark Christian S. Tirao, FS1 instructor, to sign the letter. Sir
Tirao advised signing with the FS2 instructor so that it could be submitted to the
cooperating school. They hurriedly went to Sir Daniel T. Cabaltera, FS2 instructor,
for signature.

Friday, October 20, 2023

We went to the cooperating school in the afternoon to submit the letter,

but the principal was at a seminar, so we found another way to inform the
school. One of the teachers at school asked if we could go to the house, and
we tried to go for the letter of approval. Sir Danilo R. Obiasca told us that on
Monday, he will first conduct orientation and assign the grade level with the
cooperating teacher.

Monday, October 23, 2023

Our first day of observation began at Buhi North Central School. It was a
cold, rainy day on the same day, but we were enthusiastic for our deployment
to the school. We got up early to make sure we had everything we needed,
and our call time is 6:40 a.m. We must come at the school as early as possible to
meet with the teachers. Because it was a rainy day, we were unable to adhere
to the call time that had been assigned to us. We initially reported to the
principal's office for the orientation period, during which every student teacher
will be educated about the school activities that require our full cooperation
and duties. Sir Danilo R. Obiasca told us that punctuality is the most important
practice in the field of teaching.

After our brief orientation, we proceed to the school's multipurpose

building to attend the flag ceremony at 7:30 a.m. Students are arranged and
lined up by grade level. The program was opened with a prayer by Ma'am Lany
L. Lavadia. The national anthem is led by Ma'am Gemma L. Ailes, and two
chosen students lead the Panatang Makabayan and Panunumpa sa Watawat
ng Pilipinas. The Principal introduced us one by one after the ceremony. We
took our places on the stage so everyone could see that we were the student
teachers who would be observing their lessons. There was then an energizer for
the students and teachers. The energizers are the chosen students. We also
participate and dance, and we enjoy it.

Following that, we returned to the school principal's office to assign each

of us by grade level to observe. He gave the assigned grade level per individual
of the selected section in kindergarten, primary, and intermediate. At BNCS,
there are 15 student teachers: 3 from BEEd-4A, 9 from BEEd-4B, and 3 from BEEd-
4C.

In primary level, Ms. Myrna L. Valenciano volunteered to observe in Grade

I—Silang under the supervision of Ma'am Maria Charmella Genevevie S. Zaballa,
while Mr. Nicho T. Lozano was assigned in Grade I—Rizal under the supervision of
Ma'am Mabel Z. Camasis. Ms. Kyla Mae V. Zaballa was assigned in Grade 2—
Section Tulip under the supervision of Ma'am Gina D. Repatacodo. Ms. Adelyn E.
Oliva offered to observe in Grade III under the direction of Ma'am Silva V.
Sumalabe.

In the intermediate level, Ms. Mary Joy C. Iballar was assigned to Grade IV
with the teacher, Ma'am Cherill S. Britanico, and Ms. Rosalie Arcilla was assigned
to Grade IV under the supervision of Ma'am Mary Joy I. Lacoste; Ms. Jessa May
B. Machado was assigned to Grade V-Hope under the supervision of Ma'am
Emma C. Leal; and Ma'am Diana Rose L. Oafallas was assigned to Grade V-
Peace with her elementary teacher, Ma'am Jocelyn A. San Antonio. The
principal assigned the team leader, Ms. Leah B. Dautil, to Grade VI-St Mary, a
star section, under the supervision of Ma'am Auryl N. Salon.

The different cooperating teachers introduced us to their learners, and

then we proceeded to inform them of our names and addresses as well. Our
cooperating teachers discussed the things and responsibilities in the classroom
that the student teacher must follow. Since the first phase is more focused on
observation, other cooperating teachers told us about managing their learners’
behavior. Our observation in different grade levels shows the differentiated
instruction applied by the teachers.
