3. Join (arm, shoulder) seam and stitch the armhole.
4. Baste the flattened facings on the (armhole, neckline).

Procedure in Assembling Pajama Trousers

1. Baste leg of the pajama trouser,

right side out.

2. Sew leg side in the sewing machine.

3. Reverse the legs and sew, right side

together, to complete the French seam.
(Do the same step on the second leg)

4. Insert the leg with wrong side out

into the one with right side out. Match
up the crotch. Pin in place and sew the
crotch (rise)

5. Reverse, sew the crotch with right

side together to complete the French
seam.
6. Unfold the pants. Fold the top down
1 inch and press. Sew all the way
around along the hem to make a garter
casing. Leave a 1” opening.

7. Attach a safety pin to one

end of the elastic. Insert the
elastic into the waistband
casing. Feed the elastic all the
way through till it comes out
the other end.

8. Overlap the elastic ends by

1 inch and sew them
together.

9. Close garter casing.

10. One final step! – hemming

the pajama pants. Serge
around the bottom of each
pajama pant leg to finish off
the edge and keep it from
fraying over time.

11. If you don’t have a serger,

press the edge under 1/2 of
an inch. Press the hem under
to your desired length.
12. Sew the hem in place,
sewing on the inside of the
hem to make sure you catch
the entire hem.

13. Press finished garment.
