I hereby express my keen interest for the post of Program Manager at Amazon India. I believe my experience in Program Management
in technology based product and ecommerce firms and my business education at ISB equips me with the optimum business acumen,
customer empathy, analytics and negotiation skills to address the challenges that lie ahead as a Program Manager in Amazon.

My motivation to apply for Amazon started ever since I learnt about its customer obsession and its great technology innovations
such as one touch delivery, automated warehouses, Amazon prime etc. I share the same passion of delivering to customers with
amazing products by using and creating the best technological products and designs. Working with ex Amazon product managers
and developers and having worked in an Amazon funded company, I am truly inspired and amazed by the hard working culture and
desire for high quality products of Amazon. Amazon being the pioneer in e-commerce will provide many exciting challenges to be
solved which will give me opportunities to enhance my skills and learn the unknowns.

My passion for technology began during my engineering days when I was exposed to the revolution that technology is bringing in this
world and thus grew my desire to be a part of it. My innovative thought process could be seen in the award winning business plan I
formulated “Online trial room” to allow users ease to select the most appropriate clothing size for them while buying clothing online.

Post my college, I was very keen to join a technology focused start up in a nascent stage and hence I joined Wave Crest Payments
(offers digital payment solutions to corporations and governments globally), where I was leading the Mobile App from the Product
Team. I displayed my Program Management skills when I conceptualized and led the team (13+ member team consisting of
software engineers, quality analyst, designers, clients etc.) to launch a mobile app which was sold to 7+ clients, across USA and UK,
within the first few months of the launch with average one time revenue of $40,000/client and addition monthly revenue of $8,000/per
month. My strength of improvisation and innovation was displayed in my products when my projects reduced the launch time of the
app for a new client from 3 months to mere 3 weeks by making the product highly configurable and flexible.

I moved to Bankbazaar.com (online marketplace for instant customized loans and credit cards), funded by Amazon.in, as a Senior
Product Analyst to work on a completely new set of challenges. Bankbazaar.com introduced me to world of e-commerce and trained
me to build customer centric products. Working with various teams including Engineering, Marketing, Operations, I led various
projects to gain 6X in the conversion for the insurance product. My success in the insurance product was appreciated by the CPO and
shifted me to CEO’s pet product: Instant and paperless loan disbursal. I, along with my manager, led the project and launched
product features to automate most the processes to go paperless. I also re-defined and updated our fraud, recommendation and credit
policy engine to increase 2.2X loan self-submissions. Working in a customer centric organization, I analyzed user behavior and
business data to create actionable insights and, thus, taking data driven decisions got internalized in my working approach.

In ISB, I continued to stay connected with Technology by becoming the Learning and Development Coordinator of the Business
Technology Club. Our team of 3 was the National Winner of an analytics based PWC DIAC case competition and finalists in ISB’s
flagship Product Management competition.

My passion for technology led to build a website, Prashna India, where post graduate medical students surgical questions are
answered by surgical experts. We have added many features to this product such as question and answers, multimedia online case
discussions, daily update mailers etc. The website currently has 2000+ active students who have asked 300+ questions and have on
boarded 50+ experts. We are in final stage of talks for our first sponsorships worth Rs. 200,000 from a large pharmaceutical firm.

Working in the Product Team for the past 2.8 years in a customer centric environment has not only kept me informed about the
latest technology and industry trends but also given me hands on experience on developing technology products from
conceptualization to launch and further. A role of Program Manager in Amazon is the next challenge I want to take and use my skill
sets to solve next big problems and innovations that lie ahead in the domain of e-commerce.

 Stabilized and scaled the Insurance product by adding 14 new Insurances companies in our product portfolio.
 Achieved 6X growth in purchases per user conversions and growth of total purchases from 20 to 1800 / month.
