3 INSTALLATION

3.1 Foundation

Prepare the foundation as shown in Figure No. 1 and Figure No. 2. However, some conditions may
require deviation from the suggested foundation.

Place the base plates at four corners as shown in Figure No. 1. When placing a base plate, provide a
proper recess and fill it with a thick layer of non-shrink cement mortar. See Figure No. 2. Put the base plate
on top.

The elevation of the base plates determines the elevation and level of the machine. Therefore, use a
precise level measuring device to ensure that all base plates are laid at the same elevation. Use the elevation
of the first plate as a reference, and lay the subsequent plates at the same elevation. After the non-shrink
mortar has hardened (about 24 hours), check the level and elevation of each base plate again using a precise
level measuring device.
