ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT

Manukan National High School celebrated

Indigenous Peoples and United Nations Month
in this school year 2023- 2024 with its IPED
theme: “Pagpapayaman ng Pamanang Kultural
at Katutubong Yaman tungo sa maliwanag na
Kinabukasan Para sa Bagong Pilipinas” and
UN theme: “Pagkakapantay-pantay, Kalayaan
at Katarungan Para sa Lahat!”. A lot of
enjoyable activities and games were
spearheaded by the Araling Panlipunan
Department and through the joint efforts of the
SSLG Officers, KABAYANI Club and IPED
Officers.

One of the event was the Sanaysay or Essay

Writing Contest both for IPED an UN. The
said event was conducted at the SSLG office
that started at 9:30 in the morning and ends at
12:00 in the afternoon. It was open for all
students who were willing to participate from
Grade 7 to Grade 12. They made sure that the
crafting or writing of the Essay was relevant to
the theme. The number of words were not less
than 400 but not more than 500 words. The
contestant were not allowed to bring ready-
made copies during the actual conduct. All
students who participated in the event
showcased their writing skills and creativity.

The criteria and its corresponding percentage

were Content and Relevance to the Theme
40%, Grammar 30%, Organization 20% and
Neatness 10% for a total of 100%.

The awarding was done on the same day of

the Search for Mr. and Ms. United Nations
2023 last October 24, 2023. Winners got their
prize, losers gain knowledge and experience.

It was a successful and productive event of

the year.
