1. Prayer
Class let us all stand up and pray.
Justine please lead the prayer.
2. Greetings Yes, Ma’am (Praying)
Good Morning, Class!
How are you today?
3. Checking of Attendance Good Morning, Ma’am Erly!

Before we start, I will be giving you 2
minutes to prepare you Learning Nobody’s absent today Ma’am
Activity Sheet and your ballpen.
4. Drill
At this point, I know you are ready.
Given the figure in the box, determine
whether the lines are intersecting,
parallel or perpendicular. You can
raise your hand if want to answer. Pupil will raise their hand to
answer.

lesson yesterday?
What was our lesson yesterday?

Very Good!

Identify whether the statement is

Parallel lines, Intersecting lines or
Perpendicular lines. You can use the
chat box to answer.
Intersecting lines
Lines that meet points
Parallel lines
These are lines in the same plane that
will never intersect. They have the
same distance apart at all times.

Two lines that intersect and form a

right angle.
6. Motivation Perpendicular lines
Let’s watch and sing the “Angles
Song”. But before that, let me remind
you to do the following: Pupils will do so.
 Watch attentively.
 Think while watching.
 Write important notes and details.
Again, Grade 4… WATCH, THINK

and WRITE.

And take note of the following

questions. These questions will serve
as your guide while watching and
singing the song.

• What are the three kinds of

angles?
• How to measure angles?

Now class, let us answer the questions

I have given you a while ago.

The three kinds of angles are

Right, Acute and Obtuse Angles.

We can measure angles using a

angles?

• How to measure angles?

B. Lesson Proper
1. Presentation
Angles are important to define and
study the polygons. There are
different types of angles based on
their measurement.
Today, we will learn more about
describing and illustrating different
kinds of angles (right, acute and
obtuse) using a model.

Let’s study the clock.

How many hands does the clock

have? Answer the question using the
Ma’am it has 2 hands.
chat box.
Very Good!

Do you know what geometric figure

formed by the hands of the clock?

The hands of the clock formed an

Angle.
Correct! It is an Angle.

Now, What is an Angle?

Look at BA and BC above. They have

the same endpoint. The figure formed
is called an angle. An angle is formed
by two rays with a common endpoint
and do not form a line. The rays are
called the sides of the angle. Ray BA
meets with ray BC at point B. The
common endpoint is called the vertex.
So, point B is the vertex.

How do you name this angle?

This angle is read as “∠ ABC” or

“∠CBA”

An angle is represented by the symbol

And B is in the middle because it is

the vertex or the middle point of the
angle.

The unit of measure of the angle is

the Degree. The degree symbol or
degree sign is (°)
Look at this angle.

The tiny zero you can see at the right

upper part of the number 90 is the
symbol that represents all angles.
The Right Angle

An angle that measures exactly 90° is

called the right angle.

Therefore, ∠ABC is a Right angle.

It measures exactly 90°.

What do we call the angle whose

measure is exactly 90 degrees?

How about this angle?

An Acute Angle
It is smaller than the right angle, and
this angle measures less than 90°. We
call this angle an “Acute Angle”

An Acute angle is an angle whose

measure is between 0 and 90 degrees.

Class what do we call this angle?

Very Good!

I have here some examples.

All of these angle are Acute angles,

they measure less than 90°.
How about this bigger angle?

It is more than 90 degrees. It measure

120 degrees.
We call this angle an Obtuse Angle

An Obtuse angle is an angle that

measure greater than 90° but less
than 180°

These are some examples.

The pupils will watch the video

clip.
We can measure an angle using a
protractor, just like this

Pupils will do so.

Let us watch a video clip on how to

draw an angle using a protractor.
Watch attentively class because later Pupils will participate in the given

angles.

Now class, get your protractor with

you and show it to your screen.
You’re going to draw angles using
your protractor.

answer on your screen.

2. Fixing Skills/Practice
Activity 1- Look at your
surroundings, find an object/real life
model that you can use to illustrate Because we can make objects

and describe the following angles. using angles like a fan, book,
handkerchief…
1. Acute angle
2. Obtuse angle
3. Right angle

Before we proceed to the next

activity, based on the given objects or
real-life models that you used to
illustrate and describe the angles, are
angles important?

Why?

Very good class! Angles play an

important role in our day to day
living. As you can see, most of the
objects have angles. Architects and
engineers used angles for designs,
roads and building. Carpenter use
angles to make chairs, tables and
sofas. This is to ensure that the
structure/ design of a certain object is
symmetry and balance.

Now that you already know the

importance of angles, let us proceed 1. Right Angle
to our next activity to know and apply 2. Acute Angle
your knowledge about it. 3. Obtuse Angle
4. Right Angle
Activity 2 - Identify the kind of angle 5. Acute Angle
represented by each of the following
figure. You can answer the following
using the chat box.

An angle is formed by two rays

with a common endpoint and do
not form a line.

Who can tell me what is an angle? It is an angle whose measure less

than 90 degrees
Very Good!
An obtuse angle is an angle
What are the parts of an angle? measures more than 90 degrees but
less than 180 degrees.
What is a Right Angle?

How about the acute angle?

Pupil will do so.

Then, what is an obtuse angle?

Very Good! Now Let us move on to 1. Right Angle

our next activity. 2. Obtuse Angle
3. Obtuse Angle
