DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN HEALTH 7


JULY 30, 2019

I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to:
a. explain the dimensions of holistic health (physical, mental/intellectual, emotional,
social, moral spiritual)
b. analyze the interplay among the healt dimensions in developing holistic health.
c. Practice healthy habits to achieve holistic health.
II. SUBJECT MATTER
“ARE YOU REALLY HEALTHY?’
Reference: Health Grade 7 Learners Module pp. 6-15
Materials: Manila paper, pilot pen, construction paper, TV, laptop.
Values: Self-Awareness
III. PROCEDURE
A. Preparatory Activity
1. Prayer
2. Greeting
3. Checking of Attendance
4. Setting of Classroom Rules
 The teacher will post a copy of classroom rules at the board.
 The teacher will post a picture of basket that serves as a score board.
 Throughout the lesson, everytime someone answers from the group will have an
additional emoji in their basket which will represent as their points.
 But when somebody from the group breaks the rules their emoticons will be taken
away from their group basket.
B. Review
The teacher ask the students if who can recall the previous lesson and the importance of
physical fitness.

C. Motivation
Divide the class into four (3) groups and let them solve the jumbled letters and picture
puzzles. If who’s group will solve the puzzle first they will shout their yell to declare that they are
finish and declare as the winner and they will get points for their basket. Any representative from
the group will explain to the class what can they say about the picture puzzle.

C. DISCUSSION
Health is well-being of your body , mind, and your relationship with others. Being healthy
means having a balance of dimensions of health. This results in attaining holistic health.
-Dimension of Holistic Health-
 The teacher identify the parts of the external and internal body parts, etc. SCIENCE
INTEGRATION
 The teacher discuss a positive view of nutrition and proper diet. TLE INTEGRATION
 The teacher explain the value of friendship, peace and in harmony with yourself. ESP
INTEGRATION
 The teacher discusses a positive view of the benefits of reading and solving soduko
puzzles. ENGLISH AND MATH INTEGRATION

D. GENERALIZATION
The teacher will show a video clip related to holistic health.? ICT INTEGRATION
If we attained harmonious balance of all dimensions, it will lead us to a happy and fulfilled life.
It may sound dfficult to attain but developing each dimensions at this stage in your life will
benefit you for a lifetime.

E. APPLICATION (Game-based)
The teachers divide the class into 3 groups. Each group will perform different activity.
Group 1: Report the activities to attain holistic health
Group 2: Make a slogan to attain holistic health.
Group 3: Compose a poem related to holistic health.

IV. EVALUATION
Direction: Write your answer before the number. What dimensions of health does each activity develop
most?

V. ASSIGNMENT
Directions: Write one health dimensions in each circle. On the lines write activities you can do in each
dimensions that can contribute to holistic health. On the space provided below, explain briefly how
health dimensions are interrelated.
