Мета.
Навчальна: ввести лексику до теми; тренувати у вживанні минулого
неозначений час (запитання,розповідь);
опрацювати структуру ``made of```; навчати
учнів описувати минулі події;
Освітня: ознайомити учнів з цікавим фактом з історії Лондона.
Розвиваюча:розвивати навички аудіювання; розвивати мовну здогадку та
мовленнєву реакцію;
Виховна: виховувати повагу до культури країни, мова якої вивчається.

Обладнання: підручник, текст дя читання, текст аудіювання,
індивідуальні картки,картки для роботи в групах, картинки із
зображенням подій пожежі в Лондоні, комп’ютер,проектор

Good morning, children! It`s nice to see you! My name is Olha Mykolaivna.I`ll be
your teacher at today`s lesson. How are you?
-Fine, thank you.
-Is anybody absent?
-All are present.
-Great! So, we are ready to start our lesson.we have a lot of work to do.

Today we are going to read a story from Ron`s presentation about England. He told
about the
fire of London. By the end of the lesson you will be able to speak about London in
the past.

Listening
The old city of London had narrow,crooked streets and wooden houses. It was a
dirty city, too. In 1665 75,000 Londoners died from the plaque. On September 2nd
1666 a bakery in Pudding Lane near London Bridge caught fire.
After a long hot summer the wooden houses were very dry. A wind was blowing
from the river. It blew the flames from house to house,and in the narrow streets the
fire spread quickly.
The fire burned for four days.it destroyed 80% of the city.Amazingly, nobody died
in the fire.
The people of London built a new city. The houses were made of brick or stone
not wood. The new streets were straight and they were wider and cleaner too. Sir
christopher Wren rebuilt St.Paul`s Cathedral.

Look at the blackboard . there are two columns there-Old London /New
London.
Find words and expressions and fill the gaps.
Example
Children , take a piece of the card. Those who have green cards-sit around the
green desk,please.
And those who have yellow cards-take your seats around the yellow desk. So, we
have two teams ``Green`` and ``Yellow``.
Your task is to make as many questions as you can about the fire in London.
The first team asks question-the other have to answer. Let`s start! I`ll give points
for correct questions and answers
