ВСТУП
У світовій освітній практиці інформаційно-комунікаційні технології розглядаються як
якісно нові засоби поширення та акумулювання знань.
Використання інформаційних технологій у навчальному процесі значно підвищує
ефективність засвоєння матеріалу учнями. Великих результатів можна досягти,
застосовуючи дані технології у викладанні англійської мови в молодшій, середній і
старшій школі. У старших класах використання інформаційних технологій дозволяють
розкривати можливості учнів у створенні серйозних дослідних, проектних робіт з
мультимедійними презентаціями і т.д. В поєднанні з аудіозасобами дозволяє
реалізовувати принципи наочності, доступності та системності викладу матеріалу.
Використання засобів інформаційних та комунікаційних технологій (ІКТ) на уроках
іноземної мови досить актуальна для розвитку особистості учня та формування в учнів
наступних компетенцій: умінь порівнювати переваги та недоліки різних джерел
інформації, вибирати відповідні технології її пошуку, створювати і використовувати
адекватні моделі і процедури вивчення і обробки інформації і т.д.

Мета: вдосконалювати мовні і мовленнєві навички; повторити активну
лексику та граматику з теми (вживання структури Ittakesme…, прийменників
місця); удосконалювати техніку читання, формувати вміння розповідати про
власний розпорядок дня, давати поради; розвивати пам'ять, творчу фантазію,
мовну здогадку, логічне мислення, взаємоповагу.
Тип уроку: комплексне застосування знань, умінь і навичок.
Обладнання: презентація, мультимедійний проектор (для показу
презентації), комп’ютер.

І. Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовного мовлення.
1.Greeting.
T. Good morning, children! I’m glad to see you. The topic of the lesson “Daily
Routines”. (презентація, слайд1)
2. Aim.
Today we are going to discuss about pupils’ school life. Listen to a proverb:
“There is time for work and time for play”. We are also revising our grammar: It
takes me…,using the prepositions at, in, on in the sentences. By the end of the
lesson you’ll be able to speak about your school day.
3. Check on Homework.
It’s twenty past six. It’s six o’clock.It’s twenty to eight. It’s half past seven. It’s (a) quarter to eight.

І. Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовного мовлення.
1.Greeting. Good afternoon, pupils! Sit down, please. How are you? Are you
OK? What day/date is it today? Who is absent today?
2. Aim.
T. The theme of the lesson is “Some Interesting Facts About London”. At the
lesson we’ll speak about the British culture and history, we’ll practice our
listening, reading and writing skills. Today we’ll widen our knowledge about
London and its sights. At the end of the lesson you’ll get to know some new
information and you’ll be able to tell a lot of interesting things about London.
3. Phonetic drill.
T. At first let’s train our pronunciation. Look at the screen (презентація ”Sights
of London”, слайди 1-5). Listen to me and repeat after me.
Great Britain, London, the Thames, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Tower, the
Tower of London, the Tower Bridge, Trafalgar Square, Cathedral, St. Paul’s
Cathedral, Westminster, Westminster Abbey, Piccadilly circus, London Eye.
4.Warming up.
T. What can you tell about these words? (What are they connected with?) these
words are names of the London’s sights. Оpen your books Ex.11, p.104-105, and
read it please. Now look at the posters and name all the sights you know. …….
OK! Now make up sentences with the words and try to explain what it is, e.g.

1. Listening
T. I propose you to listen to the text about the London Eye. Be attentive, please!
Tell me, what is: a wheel – колесо,an observation wheel – колесо огляду, a bird,
a bird’s eye view – з висоти пташиного польоту, a capsule – капсула
(презентація ”Sights of London”).
London Eye
The London Eye is the world’s biggest observation wheel situated on the banks of
the river Thames, in London, England. It gives visitors a wonderful bird’s eye view
of the whole of the city and the surrounding area.
The London Eye is 135 meters high. It has a diameter of 120 meters. It is made up
of 32 fully enclosed capsules. Each capsule can hold 25 people. It operates on
continuous rotations lasting 30 minutes.
The London Eye was formally opened by the Prime Minister, Tony Blair, on the
31st of December 1999. But it was opened to the public in the year 2000. British
Airways, the world’s favorite airline, has sponsored the London Eye as a gift to
the London skyline.

of the UK, about its capital and sights. The motto of our lesson is “It’s better to see

T. Now we shall read the text “Unforgettable Impressions”. (Ex.4, p. 215-216). It
is a description of the well-known Vincent van Gogh “Sunflowers”( презентація,

two famous paintings and say what she loved about them and why?

usually talk a lot at supper, but when I am tired I find it difficult to listen to her
problems because I too feel the need of support and cooperation. We occasionally
have quarrels and last week we had a particularly bad one, but there were obvious
reasons for it. I had to work late most evenings and I was particularly tense so she
did not have the chance to talk to me about school, friends and others problems in
her life. I know that our quarrel was about quite irrelevant things, such as clothes
or make-up and untidiness. I was so sorry about that unpleasant evening that now I
am much more concerned with things that matter a lot, like her physical safety, her
views on life and her important choices and decisions. My daughter, too, is now
sharing the cooking and is kinder to me. I hope my story may be useful to others
