I. PROJECT:
Bureau Veritas India Pvt. Ltd. has been invited by M/s The Sports School
to submit a proposal for Geotechnical Investigation for the proposed
Construction at Kanakapura Taluk, Bangalore.
Geotechnical investigation has been requested by M/s The Sports School
for the above-mentioned project to determine the subsurface stratigraphy
and groundwater conditions, to evaluate the engineering characteristics of
the representative soil profiles, and make suggestion for the type, depth and
allowable bearing pressure for foundation designs.

The proposal is sent in response to request, communicated to us via email


dated on 19th October 2021.

II. SCOPE OF WORK :


Based on the RFQ documents, we understand that the work elements
consist of the following:
• Drilling 03 No’s of borehole up to 10.0m deep in all type of strata.
• Performing physical, mechanical & chemical laboratory testing of soil.
• Engineering Analysis & Submission of report.

III.DELIVERABLES :
Bureau Veritas (India) Pvt Ltd Will submit a report in BV format limited to
the above scope, reporting will include:
1. Description of Works
2. Factual data
3. Bore Hole logs
4. In-situ testing results
5. Laboratory testing results.
6. Engineering analysis.

IV. FINANCIAL PROPOSAL :

TERMS OF PAYMENT :
1. 50% of total technical service charges+ GST shall be paid along
with work order.
2. 50% of total technical service charges+ GST shall be paid on
completion of field studies at site.

V. REQUIREMENTS AT SITE:
1. The site shall be dry, clean and free from debris, easily
approachable (motorable approach) and shall not be
waterlogged.
2. This offer letter is applicable only for subsoil conditions free from
filled up material such as boulders / debris etc.
3. The construction debris at site shall be removed up to the virgin
ground level at your cost.
4. Location of boreholes shall be marked by you at site and shown
to us before commencement of work.
5. Watch and ward, water facilities shall be provided by you at your
cost.

6. The test locations shall be free from underground utilities if any;


all the issues related to the underground utilities shall be
managed by you at your cost.
7. All necessary permission for the entry of our men and equipment
to the site and for testing shall be obtained from the appropriate
authorities and handed over to us before commencement of
work.

VI. BASIS OF OUR OFFER:


1. The fees mentioned above are exclusive of GST, same shall be
charged extra, as applicable at the time of Invoicing.
2. We will mobilize our equipment within fifteen days from the date of
receipt of your work order.
3. All laboratory Testing shall be carried out at NABL Accredited
Laboratories.
4. The site visit for the proposed scope mentioned above will be
conducted by an Engineer available from BV office nearest to the
client/site, BV may depute the Engineer from any of its offices in
India in due consultation with customer.
5. Customer shall nominate a senior level person preferably
responsible for the respective functions/aspects to liaison with the
auditor and accompany the engineer until the completion of site
work.
6. Any additional test, which may be requested by a customer
beyond the scope of work mentioned in the proposal, will not be
considered and a separate proposal will be issued for the same.
7. If Idling of Engineers and rig/testing equipment for more than 1
day due to unforeseen delays, an idling charges shall be charged
Rs 3000/-.
8. Customer shall make available all necessary documents,
drawings etc. to carry out the job satisfactorily as per the scope
mentioned above.
9. Customer should ensure safe and easy access to BVIL engineer
and drilling team at site to carry out the job as per scope.

VII. BVIPL CONDITIONS:


The subject mission will be carried out according to:

1. BVIL–Specific Conditions of Contract (SCC-B&I Rev03 dated


11thJan 2018)
2. BVIL - General Terms & Conditions of Service – June’ 21.
3. Additional Clause Applicable to COVID 19 Situation.

Copy of which is enclosed herewith.

Proposal validity and acceptance:


This proposal is valid for (30) thirty days from the date of issuance, if accepted
will be kept firm until 20th November of the current year.

Should you find this quotation to be acceptable, please indicate your approval
by having an authorized representative execute one copy and return it to the
undersigned. If we are given verbal or written notification to proceed, without
first receiving a signed copy of our quotation, it will be mutually understood that
both parties will, nonetheless, be contractually bound by the parameters of the
proposal, even in absence of written acceptance. Our personnel will not be
dispatched to the project site without our receipt of your written authorization.
