Palta NHS SSG hosts a Zombie Color Fun Run for fundraising

Palta National High School (PNHS) took part in a "spook-tecular" Zombie Color Fun
Run on November 4, 2022, which was organized by the school's Supreme Student Government
(SSG) as part of the celebration of the Induction Ball and Ceremony.
The aforesaid celebration got underway at 5:30 in the morning at Patrick Gianan's
residence, a former PNHS student.
Additionally, the purpose of the aforementioned event was to raise a small sum of money
that might be used as startup capital for a campus-based business that would benefit students
initiated by the schools’ SSG.
“Yung imo na malilikom nimi duman is magiging pondo duman sa igibo niming
tindahan, na kung sain duman nimi kukuhon yung gagamiton na imo para sa mga upcoming
events o activities na i-organisa ning SSG” said by the SSG- Treasurer, Vince Dominique
Bagadiong.
Furthermore, he added in the interview that a total of 163 participants registered for the
fun run.
“Ang kabuoang bilang ng nakilahok sa fun run ay 163. Kung saan limang outsider,
limang student teachers at 153 na studyante mula sa PNHS ang nakilahok”, he said.
The event raised PHP1, 680 from out of the minimal PHP10 registration for the students
and PHP20 for outsiders and professionals.
In exchange, participants received a snacks and some were awarded with some prizes.
The "spook-tecular" event was different from past fun runs that some people attended, as
it had its unique spin. In addition, they change its concept and style to fit the month's Halloween
theme, mentioned by the SSG- President, Almira Arador in an interview.
Meanwhile, in the interview to Charmaine Alcantara, a grade 11 student, also one of the
participants in the forenamed event said that participating in the fun run was worth-it.
“Pangalawang beses ko na dito sumali…. Nakapagal sya pero enjoy, worth-it yung
pagbayad nimi duman” she said.
She added that if given a chance that the school will initiate the same kind of activities
she will definitely participate without a doubt.
Conversely, the SSG-President concluded, that the said event was a successful one.
“Naging successful diba kasi dakol ang nag-join, yung implementation kaito puon sa
first trail hanggang sa school, okay man. And successful man yung purpose nita (the SSG) na
makalikom kita ning fund as starting para sa SSG this year, and nagibo talaga ito.”
