Lesson Proper: ZUMBA - Is an alternative indoor recreational activity with fitness benefit
claims. - Discovered by Alberto “Beto” Perez, a celebrity fitness trainer of Colombia in the
mid 90’s. - Involves a combination of Latin dance steps such as salsa, samba, raggaeton,
merengue cumbia, cha-cha-cha, mambo rumba, flamenco. - Many steps have been included
to make the dance more exciting such as belly dancing, hip hop and the like.

Benefits of Zumba It improves cardiovascular health. It helps losing weight. It relieves stress.

This time, I will group you into 2. Set aside your chairs and pick up pieces of trash. But,
before that I want you to make a line. 2 lines for the girls and 2 lines for the boys. Stand and
form a line. This would be the group 1 and group 2. Group 1 will stay at the left side corner
and the group 2 will stay at the right side. Now go to your group. Okay, listen. This time we
will be having an activity. The name of our activity is “Watch me now and perform me later”.
You are going to watch a video and perform after watching. And you are only given 5
minutes for your preparation.

a dance steps that corresponds to the given music. I will give you 8 minutes to prepare and
3 minutes for the presentation.
