He made two types of tests to measure creativity:

1. Verbal Tests (शाि$दक पर)*ण)

2. Non-Verbal Tests (अशाि$दक पर)*ण)

• This verbal test of creativity includes four sub-tests.

• It provides three factor scores- fluency, flexibility and
originality for class VII and VIII students.

• This test is intended to measure the individual’s ability to

deal with figural content in a creative manner.

• This test can be used among the middle school
children to the graduates.

Passi’s Tests of Creativity (1972)

• इसके शाि)दक और अशाि)दक कारक. को 6 पर12ण. के मा5यम से मापा जाता है ।
(Its verbal and nonverbal factors are measured through 6 tests.)

• यह <हंद1 एवं अं@ेजी दोन. मा5यम. मC है ।

(It is in both Hindi and English medium.)

• This can used among adolescents and adults.

The 6 tests for verbal and non-verbal factors are as follows:

1. सम8या दे ख परE/ण (Seeing problem test)

2. असामाbय ;योग परE/ण (The unusual test)
3. पKरणाम परE/ण (The consequences test)
4. असdभव परE/ण (The test of inquisitiveness)
5. वगY पहे लE परE/ण (The square puzzle test)
6. सजृ नशीलता का घन परE/ण (The block test of creativity)
Steps of Creativity by Torrance
• There are four steps of creative behaviour:

(The process of being sensitive to difficulties, being aware of

problems, and finding missing elements in information.)

लगाना, ;Iन पछू ना, सच
ू नाओं कR जाँच करना तथा उनका कुशलतापव ू कY
संचालन करना।

(Forming hypotheses, making assumptions, asking

questions, checking information and handling them efficiently
in a systematic manner.)

• According to Guilford, creativity and divergent thinking are closely

related.
• Guilford and his associates developed a test battery to measure
creativity, in which six elements were included:

• Torrance test measures these four abilities in a person:
