A. Background of the Project
Leadership, without doubt, is a significantly important function of management. It
helps to aggrandize efficiency and to fulfill community’s goals. It is also defined as the
ability to influence a group towards the realization of a goal. Leaders should have the
capability of developing future visions, and to drive the organizational members to
want to attain the visions. Leaders provide guidance, inspiration, and motivation
when achieving goals. They help to create a vision and rally people around a common
cause. Leaders possess the necessary skills and knowledge to make
informed decisions and solve problems effectively that can result in the betterment of
their community or barangay.

PROPOSAL PROJECT DESCRIPTION
After assessing the needs of the community, we have noticed that most of the people
living in some areas of the barangay need leadership training and development. In like
manner, most of our surveyed individuals said that there is
inadequate unity and leadership in their barangay. By introducing leadership and
management training programs, members of the barangay will receive feedback on how
they are affecting subordinates and what actions and steps can be taken to address areas
that need instantaneous attention. Furthermore, it improves one’s
leadership skills and abilities and gains information on the fundamentals of
leadership and student organization and management that will enable them to work
more efficiently in the community. Understanding how actions affect others that rely on
them, directly and indirectly, is the key difference that is incorporated in effective leaders.
Leadership training and development increases their own perspective of how influential
they can be and the effects that such influence can cause on the overall community.

Leadership training provides feedback and insight on the fortes and positive
aspects of the leader's actions and styles. Training programs and materials
ensure those strengths are explored and mastered, building well-rounded and
effective members to those surrounding them in the barangay. Leadership
training can teach you the skills you need to lead effectively, including the often-
tricky skills needed to persuade and influence people even those over whom you
have little direct authority. Leadership training widens thinking abilities to help
leaders think in innovative and creative ways. Youth leadership is focused on the
next generation of leaders that eventually will take over managerial positions.

others, and develop a sense of purpose and unity. Additionally, there are numerous

PROPOSAL Coverage

The project covers the 10 Families of Out of


School Youth that have a financial problem and
lack attention of the Barangay Gulod. Based on
the theme of "Leadership Training" - Leading from
Within, to provide opportunities for out of school
youth in Barangay Gulod, to develop their
leadership skills and become Youth of positive
change in their communities.

Part 1: Observation
A. List down the things that you have learned in the NSTP 2 class.

Through NSTP 2, we developed empathy, teamwork skills, problem-solving


skills, a sense of social responsibility, and cultural sensitivity. These skills and
values can be beneficial in various areas of our lives, such as school, work, and
personal life. Overall, this program helped us become more responsible
citizens and contribute to the betterment of our community and the nation as
a whole

Part 1: Observation
B. Among the stated above, what are the things that you shared with our
comrade and community?
During our community service in Barangay Gulod, we conducted a leadership seminar aimed at identifying the
strengths of the residents and raising their awareness. Our previous knowledge from the NSTP 2 curriculum
proved to be beneficial in the immersion process, which involved various phases of community engagement to
determine the needs of the people. Using the insights gathered, we designed and implemented a program that
aimed to support individuals who were facing livelihood and leadership challenges. This initiative focused on
instilling knowledge and awareness of how to be a good role model and community member. Working together
on this project allowed us to gain practical experience, which was a memorable experience. Our aim is that our
efforts, such as organizing the leadership seminar, will be helpful to the residents of Barangay Gulod and be a
starting point for them. Community immersion allowed us to brainstorm and determine the necessary services
to support our fellow citizens.

EVALUATION
Part 2: Implications and Reflection
The knowledge we have acquired throughout this course will undoubtedly
prove advantageous in our future endeavors. It has equipped us with practical
skills, critical thinking abilities, and a deeper understanding of the challenges
faced by various individuals and communities. Armed with this knowledge, we
are better prepared to address societal issues, promote social justice, and
contribute meaningfully to the betterment of our community. NSTP 2 has
empowered us to recognize our potential as agents of change and has inspired
us to work collaboratively towards building a brighter future for all.
