ENGAGE
A. READ ME/ORAL READING: Short Paragraph Reading
Teacher will ask the student to read a short paragraph about “Role of Hormones
in the Reproductive System” (See attachment for the short paragraph) which is
posted in the board. Everyone will read it aloud.
After reading, teacher will be asked the following are questions to be asked;
What is hormone?
What is the important role of the hormone?
How many female reproductive hormones were identified in the short

paragraph? What are these male and female hormones?

Teacher will asked student to watch a short Video Clip about “The role of
hormones of Gonads” from the http://youtube.com/watch?v=VLHcwoDk7SA
Students will be asked to jot down notes. Teacher will ask student to do the
following:

For the explain part of the lesson, students will be ask to Present the
Activity in the class.
Teacher will ask student to share their thoughts in the following guide
question for students to be guided. The following are the guide

question:
a. What are the male and female reproductive hormones
mention in the video clip?
b. How does this male and female reproductive hormones
plays a role in reproduction?
The female reproductive system, just like the male reproductive system, is also

regulated by hormones. The follicles produce hormones that control the growth
and release of eggs from the ovaries. While other hormones prepare the uterus so
a baby can grow in it, other hormones still l control the stretching of the uterus
during pregnancy.

A. PICTURE ANALYSIS
Teacher will provide pictures real life situation which show primary role of
the reproductive hormones. Teacher will ask students regarding activities
happen in their bodies which is cause by the hormones.
Anna is in her third trimester, there are some changes in her body
which makes er very uncomfortable being a first time mom.
What do you think is the hormone which cause changes in her
physical structure?
How does this hormone affect the reproductive system in her
body?
