SANGGUNIANG BARANGAY RESOLUTION No. 008 Series of 2024

A RESOLUTION EARNESTLY REQUESTING THE HONORABLE CONGRESSMAN SALVADOR

“ADOR” PLEYTO, REPRESENTATIVE 6TH DISTRICT OF BULACAN TO DONATE FREE
MEDICINES AND MEDICAL EQUIPMENTS FOR THE INDIGENT FAMILIES OF THIS
BARANGAY.
WHEREAS, Section 16 of Republic Act No. 7160 otherwise known as the “Local Government Code of
1991” mandates local government units to promote health and safety. Further, Section 17 (b) (2) provides the
role of the barangay in the promotion of health:
(iii) Subject to the provisions of Title Five, Book I of this Code, health services which include the
implementation of programs and projects on primary health care, maternal and child care, and communicable
and non-communicable disease control services, access to secondary and tertiary health services; purchase of
medicines, medical supplies, and equipment needed to carry out the services herein enumerated;
WHEREAS, the Barangay Bigte is geared towards excellent delivery of health service to our
constituents;

WHEREAS, Hundreds of poor residents in our barangay are asking to be provided with free medicines,
we want to help those who cannot afford to buy it due to lack of finances.

WHEREAS, We know that the Hon. Congressman Salvador “Ador” Pleyto, Representative 6 th
District of Bulacan aims to extend medical help to the poor and needy , for this reason , we would like to ask
you to grant us a Free Medicines and Medical Equipments for our constituents. Rest assured that your help
would benefit hundreds of poor people needing medicines .

WHEREAS, the provision of FREE MEDICINES is one of the top priority concerns of the barangay;
WHEREAS, the barangay has about 26,000 population as of January 2024 ;

NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Sangguniang Barangay assembled in session, to request

the Hon. Congressman Salvador “Ador” Pleyto, Representative 6th District of Bulacan to donate FREE
MEDICINES and MEDICAL EQUIPMENTS such as;

Medicines (list hereto attached)

23 units BP Apparatus for distribution to 23 different sitios
10 units Wheelchair for anyone who will need
23 units Oximeters for distribution to 23 different sitios
6 units Oxygen equipment for anyone who will need
23 units Nebulizer for distribution to 23 different sitios
23 sets First Aid Kit for distribution to 23 different sitios

RESOLVED, FURTHER, to furnish a copy of this resolution to the

Hon. Congressman Salvador “Ador” Pleyto, Representative 6 th District of Bulacan for his information and
utmost consideration. On motion of Kagawad Myrna S. Crisostomo, duly seconded, the foregoing Resolution
was unanimously approved.

UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED. I hereby certify to the correctness of the foregoing resolution.
