1. TITLE

ERECTION PROCEDURE FOR BRIDGE GIRDER O/H CRANE

2. SCOPE OF APPLICATION

This procedure describes the guidelines and operation step for lifting bridge
girder over head crane by Crane Kobelco 7300 Cap. 300 Ton.

One unit of Over Head Crane cap. 80/20 t consist of two girders. The object
size measurement and weight of the girders for one unit O/H Crane are as per
Figure 1.

3. EQUIPMENT & TOOL

3.1 Equipment
Kobelco 7300 crawler crane 300 Ton capacity 1 Unit

3.2 Rigging Tools

a. Wire sling  1.5” x 12 4 Sets


b. Chain Block SWL 5 t 2 Sets

3.3 Temporary Support

4. EXECUTION

4.1 PREPARATION
1. Conduct good compaction and leveling of area and ensure soil bearing
strong enough
2. Check crane condition before mobilize to lifting area.
3. Check the crane crawler position to ensure the crane is level.
4. Crane positioning at lifting area and make sure the crane lifting radius is
conform with rigging calculation
5. Check rigging tools & accessories condition such as slings, shackles &
etc.
6. No activity to be allowed in and around lifting area during lifting activity.
Install barricade tape to secure the lifting area.
7. Position the crane as per drawing.
8. Coordinate with all persons in charge: equipment operator, Rigger,
Signalmen, Supervisior responsible for the lift. Explain the erection
planning to all of the crew and dangerous condition that may occurred.
9. Signalman, Operator & Supervisor should have proper radio/ visual
contacts at all time.
10. Workmen wear proper PPE (Helmet, safety shoes, full body hardness/
Safety belt, etc) and lanyard hook of body harness always hooked up
while working at height (For detail, Please see Attachment for HSE
Aspects Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control ).

4.2. LIFTING BRIDGE GIRDER O/H CRANE

Equipment for lifting is Kobelco 7300 Crawler Crane 300 ton Cap with
main boom length of 60.96 meters and luffing jib 39.62 meters. First, girder
with total weight of 25 tones will be erected to its on base elevation (25 m) with
radius of 24 meters. After positioned on top of the rail, this girder will be pulled
by 2 chain block 5 tones capacity for about ± 4.4 meters. Next, girder with total
weight of 25 tones will be erected to its on base elevation also with radius of 24
meters. Third erection is for connection beam that will be connected two
girders.
