hunt for Montana
Senate District 15
Gregg Hunter of Glasgow has
announced that he will be running
as a Republican candidate to
represent the new Senate District
15, which encompasses a portion of
Valley, Richland, Roosevelt and all
of Daniels and Sheridan Counties.
“The future of our district’s
representation in Helena will be
written by those that show up,” said
Hunter. “That is the number one
reason that I’m running for Senate
District 15. I work and live here and
am committed to doing my best to
represent the people of our district.”
As a fourth generation
Montanan and a local leader in our
community, Hunter has worked hard
to hold a front row seat in Glasgow
and Valley County. He currently
serves as the past president in the
local chamber of commerce for his

Caring Hands of Glasgow is offering 2 scholarships to women and men who are in
various stages of their educational journey this year. These are local scholarships that
are available to anyone who is a resident of Valley County. Applications are available at
the Caring Hands Thrift Store.
Caring Hands Opportunity Scholarship amount is $2000. It is designed to assist
women who want to overcome poverty, domestic or sexual violence, divorce, death of
a spouse or other life challenges; women who have the courage and determination to
turn their lives around. This scholarship is all about helping women who have faced
economic and personal hardships.
Caring Hands Post Graduate Scholarship amount is $3000. This may be awarded
to any person who resides in Valley County and holds a bachelor's or master’s degree
from an accredited college or university. Scholarship must be used towards educational
credits to an advanced or supporting degree.

Glasgow, maybe a first! Holbrook Seed Potatoes, out
of Twin Bridges, Montana, had just finished a delivery
at Markle’s and was parked in front of the Children’s
Museum of Northeast Montana as the spud guy was
waiting for someone to pick up a bag of seeders. Sorry
I didn’t catch his name, but he gave me a bit of info.
They grow their Montana State Certified Seed Potatoes
on about a hundred acres, and have quite the variety,
including Yukon Golds. They deliver seed potatoes all
over the state as well as northern Wyoming, and his truck
was nearly empty after a loop around eastern Montana.
100 acres? Wow, that’s huge. Not according to him
though, that is actually small potatoes. “Our neighbors
have a twelve hundred acre seed potato farm,” he said,
but that farm does much more commercial work with

farms in Idaho, Wyoming, Washington, and I don’t

everyone’s faces when I do it at parties. They can’t believe
what they’re seeing. If only they knew what else I’m
capable of.”
An insider with the local law enforcement authorities
disclosed that the man was now under surveillance.
At publishing time, multiple residents had already
filed for restraining orders against the man out of fear of
what the clearly disturbed man may do next.

Veterans Day because on
March 29, 1973, Military
Assistance Command,
Vietnam (MACV) was
disbanded and the last
U.S. combat troops
departed the Republic of
Vietnam. On March 28,
2017, President Trump
signed the Vietnam War
Veterans Recognition Act
of 2017. This act officially
recognizes March 29
as National Vietnam
War Veterans Day. This
